This presentation was made by Kupriyanov Vladislav from class 8b at school No 102 in Moscow in 2013. The presentation discusses the cycling career of Victor Kapitonov, who won numerous championships for the USSR including in pair racing in 1959, team racing in 1962, and marathon racing in 1956. Kapitonov also found success at the Olympic Games, winning bronze in team racing at the 1960 Rome Games and gold in the highway group race. After retiring from competition, Kapitonov became a cycling coach and led the USSR national team to several world championship titles from 1970 to 1977.
