This presentation was made by Kupriyanov Vladislav from class 8b at school No 102 in Moscow in 2013. The presentation discusses the cycling career of Victor Kapitonov, who won numerous championships for the USSR including in pair racing in 1959, team racing in 1962, and marathon racing in 1956. Kapitonov also found success at the Olympic Games, winning bronze in team racing at the 1960 Rome Games and gold in the highway group race. After retiring from competition, Kapitonov became a cycling coach and led the USSR national team to several world championship titles from 1970 to 1977.

Victor Kapitonov was the numerous champion of the
USSR:
in 1959 in pair race on a track;
in 1962 in team race on the highway;
in 1956 in marathon race;
in 1958 in group and team race.
Seven times I started in World cycle race.
He became the Winner of this race in a team
competition — in 1958, 1969, 1961, 1962.
In Melbourne Victor Kapitonov made a speech at the
Olympic Games of 1956 first for unsuccessfully, falling
during race became the reason of a failure.

5. In 1960, On Olympic
Games
in
Rome,
Kapitonov
becomes
the
bronze
prizewinner
of
games,
participating in four
structure within team
race.

6. On the same Olympic Games, in highway
group race, Victor Arsenyevich becomes the
champion of Olympic Games, having bypassed
on finishing line, only on half-wheels of the
Italian Livio Trapp. Kapitonov already didn't
take part in the following Olympic Games,
having completely concentrated on trainer's
work.

7. From 1965 to 1985 Victor Arsenyevich — the head
coach of a national team of cyclists - shosseynik.
In 1975 and 1976гг. it is called the best trainer of
the USSR and it is awarded by a gold medal for
preparation of USSR national team to the World
Cup of 1970 where she became for the first time
world
champion
in
team
race.
Under
its
management the USSR team won on World cycle
race — 1970 — 1972гг, 1975 and 1977гг..
I am proud of the life history of this remarkable
man. For me, it is an established model for
achieving my personal sporting victories.
