He at first didn’t recognize it as his own and said he thought it was the most beautiful painting he had ever seen – it had been freed from the objective constraints he had put upon it. This became a turning point in how he painted – leading him to move into a more abstract style.

- #17 In 1921, when the Czar fell in Russia and the attitude toward artistic expression became less favorable, Kandinsky went to Germany. He became part of Bauhaus (German word meaning "house of building”) movement- graphic style combining fine art with craft. His work became more geometric and precise and intricate.
