Title: “DESIGN & ANALYSIS OF CAR ROOFTO CONTROL HEAT FORMATION.”
ABSTRACT
High solar global insolation causes typically very high ambient temperature especially during summer season.
During summer if the cars are parked directly under the sun, cabin inside the car will experience a kind of
greenhouse effect this will lead to higher cabin temperature and cause problems inside the car like color fading
and seat upholstery wear and tear and even cause damage to other cabin elements. The high temperature
prevailing inside the vehicle parked under the sunlight is definitely unreceptive to the occupants when they arrive
to take a drive. Since the conditions inside mobile machinery cabins affect the health, performance and comfort of
the operator, this research focuses on these types of cabins. Investigation was carried out to minimize the
temperature rise inside a parked car by developing and installing multilayered highly insulated car roof, with the
developed structure the difference between temperature was reduced by 50% approximately. An optimum level of
comfort in the vehicle is obtained only by using an automatic air conditioning and climate control system but this
project focuses on the analysis of the vehicle roof heat formation which is generated in car cabin because of solar
energy and to establish the optimum thermal comfort inside a vehicle. For that using FEM technique to examine
these issues of Heat accumulation within the car. This project identifies the causes of this common problem that
most passengers face in their daily lives and aims to suggest ways of reducing the uncomfortable temperature
within the car. Theoretical, numerical & software analyses were conducted. Different cases had been
investigated by selection of insulating material, and well optimized material combination selected for Car roof
which is of light weight, high strength, highly thermal resistant, lowest cost and easily manufacturable and can be
combined with othermaterials.

Title: “HOVERCRAFT.”
Description: It is an air cushioning device. Craft designed to travel over any sufficiently smooth surface. It can drive on land
and water.
For Designing the Hovercraft, We used the UNIGRAPHICS software, and we also made the assembly of the
Hovercraft in UNIGRAPHICSsoftware, after that we made it in Practical Way.
