Ruby on Rails provides a default model-view-controller design and generators that apply progressive evaluation and domain correspondence. The code completion in the IDE and Ruby language has issues with penetrability. Migrations offer a high-level abstraction for data modeling through specialized Ruby files that are invertible and treat objects rather than records. Rails leverages the dynamic Ruby language to provide good domain correspondence, progressive evaluation, and abstraction level, though it is missing error prevention due to the dynamic approach.
The document provides an introduction to Ruby and Ruby on Rails, including:
- Ruby is a dynamic, reflective, object-oriented programming language influenced by Perl, Smalltalk, Eiffel and Lisp.
- Ruby on Rails is an open-source web application framework built with Ruby that follows the model-view-controller (MVC) pattern.

React Native and the future of web technology (Mark Wilcox) - GreeceJS #15GreeceJS
What's all the hype about React Native? What is it? How does it work? Why does it matter and what clues does it give us about the future of web development? Did you know there's a React Native for the Web? What's that all about? It can't be all good, what's wrong with it? Where should you go to find out more?
All the reasons for choosing react js that you didn't know about - Avi Marcus...Codemotion Tel Aviv
ReactJS is a UI library that helps improve development velocity (O(DevTime)) by keeping codebases small and flows unidirectional. It has built-in support for testing and renders views as a pure function of state, making updates efficient and abstractions non-leaky. The document discusses how ReactJS helped reduce one codebase from 175,000 lines to 46,000 lines while also lowering the onboarding time for new members from 2-3 weeks to 1 day. Enemies of development velocity like poor test coverage, complex flows, state management, and leaky abstractions are avoided with React's functional approach.
A great idea can be built with almost any technology. The success or failure of your project has more to do with vision, leadership, execution, and market than technological choices.
Besides the vision, a lot of startups focus on culture. what isn’t often mentioned is that the technical decisions will have a direct effect on the company culture. Great things have been built with each of the technologies. But they do come with a culture.
The purpose of this presentation is to help developers, managers, founders, etc. to make an insightful decision about the framework they want to use to create their product.

Understanding User Needs and Satisfying ThemAggregage
https://www.productmanagementtoday.com/frs/26903918/understanding-user-needs-and-satisfying-them
We know we want to create products which our customers find to be valuable. Whether we label it as customer-centric or product-led depends on how long we've been doing product management. There are three challenges we face when doing this. The obvious challenge is figuring out what our users need; the non-obvious challenges are in creating a shared understanding of those needs and in sensing if what we're doing is meeting those needs.
In this webinar, we won't focus on the research methods for discovering user-needs. We will focus on synthesis of the needs we discover, communication and alignment tools, and how we operationalize addressing those needs.
Industry expert Scott Sehlhorst will:
• Introduce a taxonomy for user goals with real world examples
• Present the Onion Diagram, a tool for contextualizing task-level goals
• Illustrate how customer journey maps capture activity-level and task-level goals
• Demonstrate the best approach to selection and prioritization of user-goals to address
• Highlight the crucial benchmarks, observable changes, in ensuring fulfillment of customer needs
