This document summarizes the story of Jora, a young girl from Kosovo, who received life-saving heart surgery in the United States through the Gift of Life program. It describes her stay with a Rotary host family on Long Island, New York, who cared for her before and after her surgery. It highlights activities like visiting local Rotary clubs, going to the aquarium, celebrating Halloween, and enjoying time with her host family. It expresses gratitude to the host family and Rotary for making Jora's recovery possible.
I've loved you since the day I first saw you (three, six, zero four). Spending the past two weeks on the same post has brought up memories of many "firsts". I love you more today than I did just yesterday. I hope you enjoy the presentation.

When people think about their environmental impact, food is not often at the top of the mind. But food is our fundamental form of consumption. And naturally, food has an environmental and financial cost. It takes water, land, topsoil and crop inputs to produce food and money to buy it. When we waste food, we're effectively throwing cash and resources in the bin.
1849 Monterey Gold Rush Thank You Brunch hosted by the Shake Family on August 26, 2012. The Shake Family graciously hosted the 1849 Monterey Gold Rush Brunch to thank volunteers, donors and supporters who helped us raised over $11,000 for the endowment. Tene Shake's menu from Fisherman's Grotto and Isabella's on Wharf #1 in Monterey were highlighted at the brunch. The cuisine was fabulous! The setting was stunning.
For God's sake, don't waste resources and food/water you have. If you don't care for a penny, just collect it and donate to people who are in real need. I personally don't feel shame picking up pennies from subways and path walks, i collect them in a gallon and once the gallon is full, i just donate. this presentation should shake up some sense.
