A joint inspection report was held on May 23, 2014 at 2:00 PM to inspect the Kalyani Helipad and a proposed new helipad site in Sanjauli-Dhalli, Himachal Pradesh. Representatives from the tourism department, aviation authorities, and military were present. For the Kalyani Helipad, it was decided that the roof construction on the terminal building should be stopped due to safety concerns during takeoffs and landings. For the proposed new site, a 0.67 hectare plot in Sanjauli-Dhalli was inspected and found suitable to construct a new helipad, parking, waiting area, and restrooms.

respect of Kalyani Helipad and proposed Helipad at Sanjauli-
Dhalli, Bye-pass, Mauza Banerdhu, Mohal-Badfar, Distt. Shimla.
The following were present: -

1. Kalyani Helipad:
During the joint inspection, the technical committee was
decided that the roof laying work of the terminal building be
stopped, because, it create hindrance in the operations of the
flights from the helipad.
Instead of laying the roof, it was suggested that the concrete
work (Lental) will be done at the top of the building. Because, while
taking Off and landing off the flight/Chopper, the power of the wind
generated by the chopper will harm the roof of the terminal
building.
2. Proposed Sanjauli-Dhalli Helipad:
Earlier following two sites were identified for the construction
of helipad in and around Shimla: -
1. Sanjauli-Dhalli Bye-Pass road.

2. 2. Bhatakuffar Bye-Pass road near Govt. Sr. Secondary
School
The Technical Committee was inspecting the site at Sanjauli-
Dhalli Bye-Pass measuring 0-67-68 hectare (9 Bighas) in Khasra No.
238/1, Mauza-Banderdhu, Mohal-Badfar, Distt. Shimla and found
suitable for the construction of helipad. The committee proposed to
construct helipad, parking, waiting lounge, toilet etc. on the said piece
of land as per the guideline of the DGCA.
