To access the COTE Community site, users must first navigate to the URL provided and sign up. They will then need to complete their profile information and wait for an email confirmation before customizing their profile further and exploring the various groups on the site. Users can connect with other members, view groups and resources, and message other users currently online.

NING
platform,
navigate
to
cotecommunity.open.suny.edu
Click
“Sign
Up”
at
the
top
right
or
in
the
welcome
box,
if
you
do
not
already
have
a
profile
on
this
site.
You
will
be
asked
to
complete
the
profile
information
below:

2. Once
you
receive
an
email
confirmation
of
your
enrollment,
you
can
explore
the
site
in
more
detail
and
customize
your
profile
and
settings.
There
is
a
new
member
guide
to
help
you
get
started
using
this
platform.

3. To
customize
your
profile,
click
on
your
name
at
the
top
of
the
page,
in
the
darker
header.
You
can
add
or
change
your
profile
photo,
share
with
the
community,
connect
with
friends,
and
view
your
latest
activity.
Additionally,
you
can
customize
your
page
using
the
design
studio.

will
also
want
to
take
a
moment
to
explore
the
COTE
Community
groups.
Click
on
“Groups”
in
the
top
navigation
menu.
Here
you
will
see
featured
groups,
as
well
as
all
30
groups
currently
active
on
the
site.
Select
a
group
by
clicking
on
the
group
title.
On
the
group
page
you
can
request
to
join
the
group
and
view
ways
to
engage,
such
as
posting
a
discussion,
reviewing
group
resources,
sending
a
message
to
the
group
members,
and
more.
From
any
page
on
the
site,
you
also
have
the
ability
to
view
members
currently
online.
Click
on
the
“Members
Online”
bar
at
the
bottom
of
the
page
to
open
a
chat
window.
