WHY ARE AMERICANS CONCERNED
         A B O U T J O B S N OW ? W H Y I S I T
                C O N T R OV E R S I A L ?

 Job growth has slowed over the past months, leaving the unemployment rate stagnant 8.2%
and in some communities the unemployment rate is worse African unemployment rate hovers
above 14.4% and the unemployment for Hispanics is about 11%.

 The issue is controversial that Obama and Romney have two different positions on how to
create jobs. The debate is on how way is the best to create jobs. Obama continued to push jobs
policies in his 2012 State of the Union Address, including initiatives to improve manufacturing
jobs within the U.S, Romney's plan to create jobs includes a heavy investment in Human capital
plan to cut the corporate tax rate.
ROMNEY'S 5 BELIEFS
 Romney plan to create jobs includes a heavy investment in “Human Capital” a plan to cut the
corporate tax from 35% to 25%, repealing health care reform and continuing the bush-era tax cuts.
 His plan also includes initiatives to retain workers and develop a competitive American workforce
by raising visa caps for highly skilled workers.
 We can count her the binge of borrowing and spending that set off worldwide alarms about the
credit worthiness of the U.S and to standard and poor’s precedents downgrade of our nations over
sovereign credit rating.
 Count the vast expansion of costly and cumbersome regulation of sectors of the economy, ranging
from energy to finance to health care.
 We should build upon our strengths, not burden with bureaucracy, excessive regulation, and intrusive
government.
OBAMA’S 5 BELIEFS

 Obama believes that the government plays an important role in job creation.
(CNN)
 Obama believe that the presidents policies aim to build the middle class from
“the middle out” rather than the top down
 We still have work to do so the president laid out a blueprint
 Matt Lauer in 2009 that he hasn’t fixed the economy in three years.
 If you work hard then u get ahead, if you’re responsible, then you can live out
your dreams, and your confined to the circumstances of your birth
ROMNEY’S 2 ACTIONS

 Focus job training programs on building valuable skills that align
with opportunities

 Reduce taxes on job creation through individual and corporate tax
reform.
OBAMA’S 2 ACTIONS

 One plan is to allow undocumented immigrants 30 years of age
and younger who came to the U.S before the age of 16 and apply to
deferment action, a two-year deferment of removal.

 “Some of the implement recommendations includes proposing
new tax rules that encourage business to invest and create jobs in the
U.S instead of overseas. ”
