Audrey Schoen's American Dream is to travel through all of Europe and possibly the whole world. To achieve this, she plans to get a college degree in education, study abroad in Europe during her senior year to establish connections, spend the summer after college preparing for travel, set off on her journey starting in an English-speaking country to adapt to European cultures, volunteer teaching English in schools as she travels place to place, and eventually settle either in her favorite place or back in America.

2. My American Dream….
• For me, my American dream is to one day,
travel through all of Europe. (And maybe even
the whole world!)

3. To achieve my dream…
• I will attend a university or college (haven’t
decided on which one yet) for three years
studying elementary and special education.

4. To achieve my dream…
• I will study abroad for my senior year of
college somewhere in Europe. I will establish a
network of people to keep in my back pocket
for when I decide to return to Europe. This will
be the beginning of my dream.

5. To achieve my dream…
• Once I’ve returned from my studies abroad, I
will spend the summer at home, preparing for
my world travels and saying goodbye to my
friends and family.

6. To achieve my dream…
• Once I’ve settled on my route around Europe,
I will set off and begin my journey. Starting
somewhere English speaking like England or
Ireland, I will take the steps to learn how to
adapt to European cultures. Things like food,
music, language and the way people act will
effect my journey and will have to be adapted
to.

7. To achieve my dream…
• Once I’ve made a home in Europe, I will go
from place to place volunteering to teach
English to children in local schools.

8. Once my dream is achieved…
• I will stay in my favorite place that I’ve
travelled or go back to America to find a
steady job and settle down for good.
