This study examined the effect of a Career Placement Project for community college students with disabilities. The project provided career exploration, job readiness training, job-seeking skills development, and job shadowing opportunities. Students who participated in the project showed significantly higher gains in career preparedness compared to a control group, as measured by a pre-test and post-test assessment of skills. While more research is needed, the results suggest that enhanced career services programs can effectively help prepare some students with disabilities for successful employment.
