reducing emissions, or simply for delivering the right spare parts and manpower. The benchmark is the
operational availability of the equipment and the competitiveness of the customer’s products.
The MAN PrimeServ scope is divided into the following categories:
Spare Parts - Genuine quality and the assurance of high availability
Technical service & repair – A full spectrum of services including inspections, overhauls and repairs for all
kinds of machinery
MAN PrimeServ Academy - Both customer personnel and own staff receive up to date training. A know-
how-transfer only the OEM (Original equipment manufacturer) can provide
Service Solutions - Full maintenance support for the equipment. Services range from the development of
tailor-made maintenance concepts, including inspections and overhauls, to complex repairs in the case of
unforeseeable events

The position
MAN PrimeServ is seeking an analytical and driven Project Controller with strong financial skills and a
business-oriented mindset to support our growing Retrofit project business.
MAN PrimeServ’s value proposition is to support ship owners and operators to convert their existing fleet’s
2-stroke engines to operate more efficiently and on new environmental fuels like LNG, Ethane, LPG or
Methanol. The new PVU fuel system will enable our customer’s fleets to deliver on new environmental
regulations and societies demand for more environmentally friendly supply chains.
You will be part of a team of 6 employees in the department of Finance & Strategy and will play a vital role
in providing the financial transparency required for obtaining our ambitious strategic business and financial
targets within our growing Retrofit project business. The projects typically concern conversion of large 2-
stroke MAN diesel engines for the marine industry to operate on gas fuel. The position will operate in close
collaboration with a wide range of stakeholders involved in our large project business – from preparation of
business cases in the sales process to the project monitoring and controlling throughout the project
execution phase. It acts as a sparring partner for the business and project stakeholders, supporting and
challenging them in creating a transparent understanding of cost and revenue flows in order to anticipate
and mitigate risks and opportunities in our large projects.

4. Key responsibilities:
• Preparation and review of new large project business cases in collaboration with project sales
management
• Ensure alignment in the handover of new projects from project sales to project execution
management
• Ensure proper project set-up in SAP-PS
• Control and monitor large projects throughout the project execution phase
• Prepare and present financial forecasts of large projects to project execution management
• Provide financial input of large projects to the business planning, annual budgeting and monthly
forecasting processes
• Ensure that project approvals, invoicing and financial processes are followed in compliance with
group norms and contractual obligations
• Develop and optimize financial tools and reports for building of new business cases and project
monitoring
• Ad hoc tasks and analyses
The position is an expansion of the already existing team and located at HQ in Copenhagen, and is to be
filled as soon as possible.
The candidate
We are looking for an experienced Project Controller, and the preferred candidate has experience from an
international project organization, preferably within areas such as Machinery, Marine, Offshore, the Energy
sectors etc. The candidate has proven high performance in complex project controlling.
MAN PrimeServ is part of a large organization, so it is an advantage if you in general have experience from
an international environment and feel at home in an organization with different interests and stakeholders.
At the same time you have strong people as well as IT skills and you understand that it takes commitment
and drive to create results.
Qualifications:
• A minimum of 5-10 years of experience from a project controlling function
• Strong management accounting and controlling skills
• Business-oriented mindset with a focus on the significant drivers, yet the guarantor of the accuracy
in the details
• Strong IT skills, preferably in SAP
• Experience in handling other relevant tools will be an advantage (e.g. Case tools etc.)
• Advanced skills in Excel are a prerequisite
• Ability to identify and frame improvements in data and processes

• Open-minded and ability to work independently as well as in a team
• A hands-on type

5. Formal education and criteria:
• A relevant master’s degree in finance / economics, e.g. Cand. Merc., Cand. Polit. or Cand. Oecon.
• Fluent in English both oral and in writing and able to communicate in Scandinavian languages
