DFS Advisory Services (“DFS”) is a privately-owned financial advisory company
providing solution-based advice. DFS, formerly known as Deloitte Financial Services,
was the financial planning arm of Deloitte Touche Tohmatsu (“DTT”) Chartered
Accountants before it was privatised under DFS Advisory Services Pty Ltd.
DFS provides strategic wealth management advice to: Retirees, Executives, Family
groups and Wealth Accumulators. A large proportion of the clientbase comprise of
High Net Worth individuals and family groups.
A core part of the DFS service offering centres on its Model Portfolio service offering.
This is a key client proposition as it enables all portfolios to be managed very efficiently
and in a disciplined manner. These Model Portfolios are fully maintained by the
specialist investment arm of DFS – DFS Portfolio Solutions, supported by a dedicated
Operations Team.
This is an opportunity for a suitable candidate to join the DFS team as a Financial
Adviser (FA) and to service an existing ledger of clients using the leading edge
investment research capabilities of DFS Portfolio Solutions.
The portfolios of the existing client ledger earmarked for the incoming adviser are held
on Managed Accounts Platform and/or HUB24 Platform. This enables very
streamlined and proactive servicing by the Investment and Operations Teams, leaving
the adviser to focus on strategic and client servicing matters.
Skills required :
 4 to 6 years of experience in the advisory industry, having gained a good
understanding of the Statement of Advice (SOA) process from preparation to
presentation to client.
 Strong Client Servicing/ People Skills. Ability to engage with clients and build on
relationships.
 Strong technical/strategic advisory skills. CFP qualification will be viewed
favourably.
 Ability to work in a team environment and manage outcomes necessary for clients.
 Strong time management skills to meet deadlines.
Full training, including a handover programme will be undertaken as part of the
transition of clients to the new Financial Adviser.
