2Nephi 25:26 discusses how the Nephites talk of, rejoice in, preach of, and prophesy of Christ, writing about him so their children will know to look to Christ for forgiveness of sins. The document then lists 9 key aspects of Christ's mission: 1) His eternal Godship and role since pre-existence, 2) His birth as both divine and mortal, 3) His normal childhood and brief earthly mission, 4) His death and resurrection which overcome death, 5) The literalness of his atonement, 6) Establishing his church, 7) Restoring his priesthood and reestablishing his church, 8) His future second coming as Lord and King.

1. 2Nephi 25:26 And we talk of Christ, we

2. 1. The unity and continuity of His mission in all ages, even
from the preexistence.

3.  God the father said: Let us make man in our image, after our
likeness..Gen 1:26

Zechariah, Malachi, and the prophets of the Book of
Mormon prior to his earthly birth.

7. The actuality of His birth in the flesh as
the natural issue of divine and mortal
parentage.

8. 1 Nephi 11: MARY THE MOTHER OF JESUS

9. God, who is infinite and
immortal, condescends to step

10. Jesus Christ was to be born of mortal
woman, but was not the offspring of

Had the Jews been in power at the time of the Birth of
Jesus Christ, He, Jesus Christ would have been the King of
the Jews through the lineage of his Mother, Mary and/or
through the lineage of the man whom everyone thought
to be His father, Joseph. They were cousins and were the
heirs of the royalty of the House of David.

15.  He raised people from the dead (Lazarus, Daughter of
Jairus & the Widow’s Son)
 He fasted and prayed to prepare himself for his 3 year
mission and then he went among the people.
 He many times physically and spiritually fed his disciples.
 He taught in the road, in the synagoges, on mountains, by
the well, by the sea, in the boats, in the cities and in the
dwelling places of the people.
 He was honored by strangers and rejected by His own.
 He was baptized at 30 by one having the authority, by
immersion at which event God the Father appeared to
confirm and approve the same, after which he received the
Holy Ghost.

16.  He healed the sick and caused the lame to walk.
 He contended with Lucifer and cast out devils.
 He blessed the little children wherever He went.
 He called 12 apostles and organized a Church.
 He “taught them as one having authority, and not as the
scribes.”
 He washed the feet of the Apostles and gave them ordinances
and the sacrament.
 He was transfigured with Peter, James and John to prepare them
for priesthood leadership.
 He lived the perfect life. He showed the way to walk in the light
