As a recent graduate from Rutgers University with anMLIS, I have worked in several public libraries in
the BCCLS library consortium. These library positions have led me to develop library skills and
experience as well as to further my love of library work and helping the public.
During my early career, I worked as both a public school system substitute and as a pre-kindergarten
teacher where I developed a love of children’s literature and crafts. During my first library placement at
the Cliffside Park Public Library, my responsibilities started out with circulation desk duties and
magazine collection development and grew to include Children’s Programming assistance as well as
holding a monthly Children’s Craft. Attending workshops and webinars helps me continue to further
develop my library knowledge.
I am looking to obtain a head position as a Children’s or Teen Librarian, Supervisor of Youth Services
or Reference Librarian.
