This document provides information about Jeevan Pramaan, a digital life certificate scheme for pensioners in India. It allows pensioners to generate a digital life certificate using biometrics to authenticate their identity. Pensioners can generate certificates from home or nearby locations and no longer need to appear before the pension disbursing authority. The certificates are stored online and can be accessed by pension disbursing agencies to verify the pensioner's status. The scheme uses Aadhaar biometrics for authentication and aims to digitize the entire life certificate process for pensioners.

2. Introduction
 Digital life Certificate for Pensioners -scheme of
the Government of India known as Jeevan
Pramaan , is digitizing the whole process of
securing the life certificate.
 Jeevan Pramaan is a biometric enabled digital
service for providing life certificate to
pensioners.
 Pensioners of Central Government, State
Government or any other Government
organization can take benefit of this facility.

3. Benefits
 Pensioner need not be have appear before the
pension disbursing authority.
 Digitized system enables the pensioner to submit
the life certificate from the nearest location to his
residence.
 Pensioner can generate digital life certificate
from home computer using his/her biometric
fingerprint scanner.

4. How it Works
 Jeevan Pramaan uses the Aadhaar platform for
biometric authentication of the pensioner.
 A successful authentication generates the Digital Life
Certificate which gets stored in the Life Certificate
Repository.
 The Pension DisbursingAgencies can access the
certificate on-line.

 Download and Install the PC application from the
URL:http:// jeevanpramaan.gov.in website.
 Run the jeevan pramaan software from Desktop.
Enter necessary information like Aadhaar
number, Pension Payment Order No.,
BankAccount No., Bank Name and your Mobile
number.
 Self authentication by scanning either a finger
print or Iris.

 After a successful authentication a SMS acknowledgement is
sent to Pensioner’s mobile number including Jeevan Pramaan
Certificate ID. Print copy can also be taken.
 The certificates are stored in the Life Certificate Repository
for making it available any time and any where for the
pensioner and the Pension DisbursingAgency.
 Role of Pension Disbursing Agency
 The Pension DisbursingAgency can access the Life Certificate
from the Jeevan Pramaan website, and download the same.

13. Way Forward
 State Finance dept. may be given the nodal responsibility.
Instructions/GR to be issued for setting up of the Jeevan
Pramaan unit in each Department /Collector Office/Tahsil
Office/Panchayat under coordination of establishment
section.
 Role may be given to CSCs by DIT/RDD.
