 Keep it simple
 Focus on 2-3 different answers per dashboard
 Target the user, avoid mixing user classes (ie. VP Sales with VP Marketing)
 Define drill paths
 Tune the interface
 Desktop and mobile devices – Tablets & Phones?
 Avoid scroll bars, 3-D charts, pie and dial gauges
 KPI flags – makes it easier to spot outliers
 Leverage interactivity – tooltips, input controls, drill down
