Jason was the son of Aeson, the rightful king of Iolcus, but was sent away as a child when his uncle Pelias seized the throne. When Jason grew up, he wished to reclaim his throne, but Pelias sent him on a quest to retrieve the golden fleece instead. Jason gathered a crew and sailed to Colchis, where with their help he overcame challenges and secured the fleece. Upon his return, Pelias' death allowed Jason to finally regain his throne as the oracle had predicted.

2. Jason is a well known hero of both the Greek mythology
as the Roman. He is commonly known for his quest to
retrieve a golden fleece.
Jason was the son of Aeson, the king of Iolcus. When
Jason was still young, Pelias the half-brother of his
father, claimed the throne by butching Aeson’s
descendants. Jason, however, was saved by his mother
thus sent away in fear of Pelias. Furthermore, Aeson for
some reason was also spared by Pelias.
When Jason grew up, he wished to recover his throne.
Pelias, on the other hand, feared of his return hence he
ordered an oracle to predict his reappearance.

 As Jason had grown older he marched towards his old
kingdom. He claimed the throne, but as Pelias knew of his
returnal, he sent him out on a quest in order to be granted
the throne. To retrieve the golden fleece.
 He gathered a crew of well known heroes and set sail.
They arrived at an island, where a king called Phineus
lived. This king was cursed as he had offended the Gods.
Jason and his crew aided this king thus removing his
curse and the king then directed the crew to
Colchis, where the golden fleece was hidden.

 When he made it back to the kingdom, after
obtaining the golden fleece, the sorceress who had
predicted his returnal tricked Pelias’ daughters to
kill him, using magic. Jason now achieved his
goal, he had regained his throne.
