My name isJohnHubbard. I have beenworkinginCaliforniaagriculture forover25 yearsas a ranch
manager,retail PCA,andmostrecentlyasa technical salesrepresentative withbasicmanufacturing
companies. Duringthe pastsevenyearsIhave had the opportunitytogetto know JasonHaught, a PCA
withWonderful Orchards.
Jasonhas alwaysbeenavailable tomeetwithme forproductupdates. He has alsobeeninstrumentalin
facilitatingmeetingswiththe otherWonderful OrchardPCAsaswell. We have metinthe orchards
several times toscoutforpeststo determine propertreatmenttimingand decide whichpesticide to
use. I have observedJasonnetworkingwithseveral peopleinthe plantprotection industry inorderto
make correct decisionsforhisalmond,pistachios,andpomegranatecrops.
Jasonhas writtenlettersof supporttothe EPA to assistin the registrationof several products. Applaud
for scale andmealybugcontrol inpomegranatesandVenue forweedburndowninpomegranateswere
registeredasa resultof Jason’sinteractionwiththe EPA. He hascalledseveral timestoinquire about
newproductsinthe pipeline andforclarificationregardingMRLsforexportcountries.
Jasonis alsoactivelyinvolvedinCAPCA. Thisyearhe isservingasPresidentof the KernCountyChapter.
His responsibilitiesincludeleadershipinthe monthlyboardmeetingsandorganizing chaptereventslike
label updateswhichIhave participatedin.
Jasonhas an engagingpersonality. He enjoysgettingtogethersociallyforlunchesordinnersandalways
invitesotherpeople tobe a part of hisgatherings. He has a good sense of humorwhichisimportantfor
