Clinical Skills:
CaTina has been here at Sugar Land Surgical Hospital for over 3 years. She works as Surgical
Tech. in the operating room, works as an Endo Tech in Endoscopy, assists in the Pain
management and covers in SPD when needed. She is very aware of the pain cases and their
equipment and supplies needed. CaTina has good clinical skills and takes care of her
instruments in the proper fashion. When needed, she is able to help out in sterile processing by
putting sets together, wrapping pans, processing instruments and keeping accurate records of
daily sterilization.
Technical Skills:
CaTina is aware of how the equipment in the operating room. She is able to trouble shoot when
challenges arise. CaTina is aware of her resources and knows how to utilize them. CaTina wears
her personal protective equipment, her lead apron and wears her x-ray badge at all times and is
very good about changing things out when needed.
Professional Development:
CaTina is up to date on most of her competencies and current in BLS. She is also an AST
member. CaTina comes in to work with the EDGE and FISH philosophies. CaTina is proponent
of the FISH philosophy. She has made posters that are hung in each department to help spread
the fish philosophy. It was an awesome project the she took on herself. It touched each
department in some way. It was a good expression of team work
Employment Responsibilities:
CaTina rarely calls in sick and shows up to work on time or early and ready to start her day. She
volunteers to stay late when possible. She is a team player by helping out in other departments
willingly. When CaTina was in school she signed up to work every Friday and work Saturday’s
in the endoscopy department. She is very helpful and enjoys helping others.
