Mainly, I choose jobs posted to a board through AVTranz (now eScribers) . When the
jobs get added to my queue, I download all ofthe audio files, necessary paperwork and
the latest template version, listen to my audio and type. I do court hearings for courts all
over the country. All ofthis work is digital through the internet.

They sent work in 8-track tape form or CDs to be transcribed, generally with a two -week
turnaround. When I started with them, I only did Vermont cases for all counties in
Vermont. In this time, Vermont changed from districtcourts to all being under the
superior courts. Towards the end ofmy time with this company, they weretransitioning
to work being sent digitally. They lost the Vermont Judiciary contract in October 2011.

Started as an administrative assistant in the marketing department and in six months
was promoted to the Federal EmployeePlan Field Service Representative. My job was to
have regularcontact with the federal employees in the State ofVermont.
I visited every post officeand every federal building in the state. When I started this
position, BCBS/VThad 56 percent ofthe Vermont federal employee population enrolled
in their health insurance. When I got done, I had 86 percent ofthe federal population in
the state. I also started and implemented a Postmaster ofthe Y ear Awardand a
quarterly newsletter that was sent to my participants.
