IT’S
A-LL
FOR BUSINESS
BY SERGE FREEMAN
Extending the C-D-E-F acronym
 If you studied business management course you must had heard of
C-D-E-F project cycle. It’s an acronym that helps to remember the
key stages that any project goes through during its business cycle.
 But C-D-E-F is a very brief description of the cycle which goes on (or
how it should go on) in order for a project to succeed and for a
company to make profit from its completion.
 Hence, I’ve extended C-D-E-F to A-LL acronym using half of the
letters of the alphabet and trying to mention other important stages
of the project cycle.
A
ANALYSE
Make an analysis before starting the project (do
SWOT, launch a research, set targets and goals)
B
BRAINSTORM
Brainstorm tactics and strategy for reaching the
targets and hitting the goals set
C
CONCEIVE

D
DEVELOP

E
EXECUTE

F
FINISH
Close the project when the targets or goals you’ve
set are reached, or there’s a proven record that
the project has failed
G
GO OVER or
GO FURTHER
If the project didn’t reach the targets – go over again
from the “A”.
If you’re satisfied with the results – go further till the “LL”.
H
HANDOVER
When the project is finished you can pass it over to
other people to work with its results or to use it as a
base for the next project
I

the future projects
J
JUSTIFY

been done better, what should’ve not been done
at all, and what you should definitely do again
K
KEEP

archived and with an easy access in case of a
need
LL

your life. Try always to learn on these lessons and
avoid same mistakes in the future.
That’s what makes you successful!
Good luck with your
projects!
