2. PHYSICAL CHARACTERISTICS
• Italy as a vast amount of active volcanoes some of them including, Mt. Etna, Stomboli,
and Mt. Vesuvius.
• Another interesting fact about Italy is that the shape of it looks like a boot, and the boot
looks as if its kicking Sicily into the Mediterranean sea.

3. CLIMATE
• In Southern Italy the climate is mainly Mediterranean with occasional rain and hot days,
but as you travel to Northern Italy the winters are colder and summers less mild. And they
do get occasional snowfall.

4. CULTURAL CHARACTERISTICS
• Italians are known to be very fashionable people.
• Artists like Leonardo Da vinci have attributed to the culture in Italy.

5. CUSTOMS
• Italy has very many customs some of them including, Drinking without eating, drinking
with small children around, and many more things.
• Italians are very family based and also have HUGE familys.
• People that work in Italy work on shifts for example they go to work at 8 A.M. and get off
at 3 P.M. for siesta time then go back at 6 P.M. and get off at 9 P.M. for the day.

6. TRADITIONS
• Some traditions include wedding receptions. When a couple gets married it is a tradition
for the Grooms mother to make a pasta dish for all of the guests.
• This can be a hassle because there can be up to 500 guests at the wedding.
