The development of Integrated Reporting is designed to enhance and consolidate existing reporting practices and, through collaboration, consultation and experimentation, to move towards a reporting framework that provides the information needed to assess organizational value in the 21st century. Integrated Reporting brings together material information about an organization’s strategy, governance, performance and prospects in a way that reflects the commercial, social and environmental context within which it operates. The initial focus is on reporting by larger companies and on the needs of their investors. The next steps that the IIRC will take in this direction are listed below.
Nina Eisenman hosts a webinar with the IIRC’s communications director, Jonathan Labrey, as part of an initiative to educate IROs in how they can ‘uncover new ways to create value throughout their organizations.’ The online discussion, entitled An Introduction to Integrated Reporting, will also allow IROs to ask their own questions about the framework in a Q&A with Eisenman and Labrey.

Knowing how to tell a well-structured story is key to building long-term memory. Stating a clear purpose that doesn't take away from the discovery learning process is critical. Ensuring that people move from theory to practical application is imperative. Creating strong social learning is the key to commitment and engagement.
