Steve Wozniak was an engineer who enjoyed tinkering with early computers in his spare time. In 1975, he realized that computer parts had become inexpensive enough that he could build his own computer with some help from his friend Steve Jobs. On April Fool's Day 1976, Wozniak and Jobs released the Apple I computer and founded Apple Computers. The Apple I was an early single circuit board computer with a keyboard, 8k of RAM, and a video interface that used inexpensive components like the $25 6502 processor.
