- MORNING

Panning across the carpark, following Alex as he walks
towards the Academy Entrance.
NARRATOR
This is Alex Smith; A very shy, and
individual person with a gift, a
gift that no-one else has. But
we'll come back to that later.
It's his first day at this new
College, The City Academy. His
parents have recently split, so he
is very edgy and depressed. Oh and
did i mention that he gets bullied
for his height?

Alex slows down, opens his bag, pulls out a letter and
starts briefly reading it quietly to himself.

(Whispers)
Dear Alex Smith ... Monday the 12th
of October ... Go straight to
reception and collect your things
to start your day. So i go to
reception, where's that?

Alex walks up to the reception desk where a rather large and
strange looking woman is sitting in a chair looking at him
with a friendly smile on her face

Hi, I'm Alex Smith, I'm new here
He gazes around the room, with a look of awe on his face
because of how amazing the place looks.

RECEPTIONIST
(Peacefully)
Ah i see. Welcome to The City
Academy, Alex; I'm certain you'll
enjoy your education here. Just
wait one moment while i collect
your planner and timetable from the
office

The Receptionist gets up and walks through a room at the
other end of the reception. Alex stands very still.

Right Alex, here is your planner.
This is your guide to the Academy,
it will tell you everything you
need to know. Also this is your
timetable; it looks like your first
lesson is Maths in the D block
The Receptionist points to the way towards the D Block
Alex nods his head as the Receptionist directs him
RECEPTIONIST (CONT'D)
Just continue down this corridor
and go out of the door on the left,
The D block is the building
directly in front of you.
ALEX
Thank you very much.
RECEPTIONIST
Hurry up, you don't want to be
late!
Alex smiles and quickly walks down the corridor.

NARRATOR This is Alex Smith; A very shy, and individual person with a gift, a gift that no-one else has. But we'll come back to that later. It's his first day at this new College, The City Academy. His parents have recently split, so he is very edgy and depressed. Oh and did i mention that he gets bullied for his height? * * Alex slows down, opens his bag, pulls out a letter and starts briefly reading it quietly to himself. * ALEX (Whispers) Dear Alex Smith ... Monday the 12th of October ... Go straight to reception and collect your things to start your day. So i go to reception, where's that? 2. INT. CITY ACADEMY RECEPTION * * * - CONTINUOUS Alex walks up to the reception desk where a rather large and strange looking woman is sitting in a chair looking at him with a friendly smile on her face * * ALEX (Shyly) Hi, I'm Alex Smith, I'm new here He gazes around the room, with a look of awe on his face because of how amazing the place looks. * * RECEPTIONIST (Peacefully) Ah i see. Welcome to The City Academy, Alex; I'm certain you'll enjoy your education here. Just wait one moment while i collect your planner and timetable from the office * * The Receptionist gets up and walks through a room at the other end of the reception. Alex stands very still. This is your guide to the Academy, it will tell you everything you need to know. Also this is your timetable; it looks like your first lesson is Maths in the D block The Receptionist points to the way towards the D Block Alex nods his head as the Receptionist directs him RECEPTIONIST (CONT'D) Just continue down this corridor and go out of the door on the left, The D block is the building directly in front of you.
