During the budget session of 2024-25, the finance minister, Nirmala Sitharaman, introduced the “solar Rooftop scheme,” also known as “PM Surya Ghar Muft Bijli Yojana.” It is a subsidy offered to those who wish to put up solar panels in their homes using domestic power systems. Additionally, adopting photovoltaic technology at home allows you to lower your monthly electricity expenses. Today in this blog we will talk all about what is the PM Surya Ghar Muft Bijli Yojana. How does it work? Who is eligible for this yojana and all the other things related to this scheme?

[INVESTOPEDIA PROJECT]
This is my Essential of Islamic Finance Course project given as per requirement of the course to learn
how stock markets works. It seems really interesting to start with a game where $100,000 were given to
me and I have to invest that amount in shares and learn lessons mistakes, tactics for gaining profits, and
in the end justification of profit and loses and managing portfolio in a way that we can maintain our
amount of investment.

Justification of Transactions
First of all start with the biggest share price from my account that is Apple (AAPL).
Apple (AAPL)
I have studied in my several courses about success of Apple so it’s very clear for me to choose
Apple blindly but having fear to lose amount as per requirement of the course facilitator to return
the amount of $100,000 that’s why I just buy few shares of Apple that is 10. When I buy Apple
Share it was on increasing and on top of the active stocks but after just one day I saw variation in
its share price so I decided to watch it for some more days because its price was increasing. After
5 days its price starts decreasing I feel that it will make a loss so I sell it on loss. I didn’t expect
that the price of share increasing at the same day of purchase will start decreasing after 5 days.
Amarin Corp (AMRN)
I bought these shares in quantity of 10 because of its low price, I have no concern about this firm
and to be honest I saw this name for the first time. I saw little variation in its price and it was a
small investment so I keep these shares in my stock. After a week I saw a good change so
decided to sell it but when I sell it, this price was not the same as I saw on active shares but still
it was a profit.
BB & T Corp (BBT)
This is my worst investment in term of loss; I purchase 70 shares of this firm because its price
was increasing and I was sure that I can make a good profit with this investment. I hold this share
for a month and I saw its price increasing daily but after a month I saw declining in its price so I

sell 20 shares on loss. Then after selling I saw its price still declining so I sell all shares and
suffered a loss. After I sell all my shares 2 days next its price start growing again.
Belk Inc (BLKIB)
I bought these shares randomly from active stock and after I buy these shares in quantity of 20 I
saw a increase in its price so I hold it for a week to get a good profit this time but again it was not
a good strategy to wait. After a week I saw its price coming down so I sell them off with a low
loss. But when I sell them again it starts moving up and down, it was a good decision to sell
them.
BT Groups (BT)
These shares in quantity of 5 I buy randomly after seeing its minor variation in its price. After a
week ago I saw its price rising so I decided to wait some other days but after 2 days it starts
declining so I decided to sell it and this time a minor loss as well but a good decision because
after I sell it, its price starts decline again.
DELL (DELL)
After experience with APPLE I buy only 5 shares of DELL and it was a profitable share because
of good profit in just 5 shares. After I sell it with profit I try to buy it again but saw that there is a
decline in its price so I didn’t buy more in declining share.
Dolby Laboratories Inc (DLB)
As I mention above that I was not concerned with firm because I saw that share prices are not
increasing or decreasing because of firms profitably so I buy some shares on growing upward
basis. Likewise I buy 10 shares of DLB and sell it out after few minutes when I saw increase in
its price but unfortunately I sell on market price and its market price at that time was decreased
with minor figures so not a big loss. Then again I buy 45 shares because its price was decreasing
and I was planning to sell on its increase. After I buy 45 shares I saw after few minutes its price
raising then I sell it and it gives me good profit there. It’s so funny to see share prices are
increasing and decreasing in every single minute.

International Business Machines (IBM)
I buy 10 shares of IBM on the name of a firm with a reputation all over the world and famous of
its computer equipment and other accessories. I made a profit on just 10 shares in just one day. I
was planning to buy more or hold current one but I already make loss in some other shares
because of holding for long so it was a good decision.
Facebook (FB)
I buy 3 shares of FB just for its well knows and I’m also a user of it but to be honest I didn’t
expect profit from it. But after 5 days I saw its prices increasing so I decided to sell it and when I
sell it its price was just below with a price I bought because the prices coming on my screen are
not real time prices it was a delayed prices and I suffered just a minor loss but it was really
shocking that I sell it on market price and market price fluctuate from increase to decrease in just
few minutes.
Power Shares (QQQ)
I buy QQQ shares in quantity of 5 because I found it in active shares and also it was increasing
with 9%.Its price was not increasing after I buy it so I wait for 3 days to at least get the price on
which I buy it. After 3 days I saw its price increasing so immediately sell it and it was a good
profit and it was keep increasing after I sell it. I sell it to quick but still it gives me good profit
and maybe it decline after increase to its peak.
Tesla Motors (TSLA)
I buy 10 shares for TSLA by checking its performance from NASDAQ where it was clearly seen
as a good investment and it was a good investment for me too. I sell these 10 shares in the same
day and earn a good profit. Again I was found myself too quick because when I sell it, its price
increase more and may give me more than a good profit.
ZYNGA Inc (ZNGA)
It was a random purchase from page two of active shares and because of its low price I buy 100
shares. I hold these shares for one day to check their value or price increasing and I saw a price
just more than price on which I purchase them. I sell it and saw a minor loss and again my
16. 16 | P a g e
mistake I forgot that prices showing on website are not live and I sell it on market price so not a
big loss just minor loss.
After my experience with other shares I set price to sell or to buy but it didn’t works for me and I
didn’t get even a single time price what I set to sell and buy.
Conclusions
Besides of the things we covered in class about stock market is Halal or Haram I understand it is
not good for anyone. Reason behind this is not based on company’s performance and share price
didn’t depend on company’s profitability it is playing by big fishes. I have observed that share
prices are fluctuating in every minute whereas company is not generating profit and lose like
this. Another main thing as my own example I don’t know about company and dividend what
they are offering but I purchase shares and make profit after selling them and as well as loss.
This is clearly a game of big fishes to make profits and on the other side someone is losing is
investment. For me it was like a game a $100,000 is a free amount but in real those who invest
their whole savings in it they will become zero because of the game playing by big fishes. Now
after comparing class lectures with my practical experience I’m cleared about that this is not
investing in company profitability, it is the investment in Haram stocks to earn like gambling
which is considered to be as Haram in Islam and it comes in the category of RIBA for which
Allah Subhana wa ta’ala says in “Soorah Al-Baqarah Ayah # 276: Allâh will destroy Ribâ
(usury) and will give increase for Sadaqât (deeds of charity, alms, etc.) And Allâh likes not the
disbelievers, sinners. RIBA will be DESTROYED”. Now if a person is a true Muslim he will stay
away with his biggest enemy and his stock market where a complete package of Disobeying
Allah Subhana wa ta’ala is exists and will lead them to Jahanum.
