Group 2 will research producing a sweet and sour candy from bitter squash (Momordica charantia) that is nutritious. They hypothesize that a candy can be made from squash that is sweet, sour, and nutritious. This research aims to create a candy that provides nutrition without being considered a junk food like many candies that children enjoy due to their sweetness but lack nutrients. The scope will focus on the effectiveness of squash in providing nutrients and results of nutrient testing on any candy produced.
