CD-ROMs were created in 1985 by Sony and Philips. They store large amounts of digital data, including software programs, video games, and multimedia applications. CD-ROM discs have the same physical structure as audio CDs, using a thin aluminum layer and polycarbonate plastic. Disposable cameras were meant for single-use and included installed film, making them convenient to carry for photography. Roller racers were scooter-like toys ridden by moving back and forth while holding handlebars. Pogo balls allowed jumping up and down on a platform attached to a ball in the middle.
