This document provides an introduction and overview for a general physics course. The course will cover 14 weeks of content on topics including measurement, motion, vectors, forces, work and energy, fluids, heat, optics, and thermodynamics. The objectives are to demonstrate basic physics concepts, link mathematical equations to applications, and provide a conceptual and experimental foundation in physics. By the end of the course, students should achieve 15 listed learning outcomes ranging from understanding units and dimensions to concepts related to specific topics. The course will include exams, homework, lab reports, and a final exam to assess student learning.
