Lightning Talk #9: How UX and Data Storytelling Can Shape Policy by Mika Aldabaux singapore
How can we take UX and Data Storytelling out of the tech context and use them to change the way government behaves?
Showcasing the truth is the highest goal of data storytelling. Because the design of a chart can affect the interpretation of data in a major way, one must wield visual tools with care and deliberation. Using quantitative facts to evoke an emotional response is best achieved with the combination of UX and data storytelling.
Succession “Losers”: What Happens to Executives Passed Over for the CEO Job?
By David F. Larcker, Stephen A. Miles, and Brian Tayan
Stanford Closer Look Series
Overview:
Shareholders pay considerable attention to the choice of executive selected as the new CEO whenever a change in leadership takes place. However, without an inside look at the leading candidates to assume the CEO role, it is difficult for shareholders to tell whether the board has made the correct choice. In this Closer Look, we examine CEO succession events among the largest 100 companies over a ten-year period to determine what happens to the executives who were not selected (i.e., the “succession losers”) and how they perform relative to those who were selected (the “succession winners”).
We ask:
• Are the executives selected for the CEO role really better than those passed over?
• What are the implications for understanding the labor market for executive talent?
• Are differences in performance due to operating conditions or quality of available talent?
• Are boards better at identifying CEO talent than other research generally suggests?
Nanotechnology offers practical ways for companies to improve performance, reduce costs and enhance service levels. Every company or organization can benefit.

Engines in ships, aircraft, vehicles and tanks can be much more energy efficient. This is because nano-clusters of fuel particles can be better utilized, reducing emissions and fuel wastage. The life of the engine is enhanced.
It's on the horizon and market ready. A new Technology that will increase the profitability of every company smart enough to deploy it. What every CEO needs to know.
Poultry sheds can suffer from high levels of ammonia and toxins that are harmful for livestock and humans. Pollution legislation is imminent. We show how to solve this problem inexpensively.
Using nanotechnology, one can reduce fuel by around 10%, emissions 10% , diesel soot by 70% and enhance the long term shelf-life of assets like cars, lorries, turbines, all mechanical machines for the benefit of profit and Society
On-line desktop meetings for corporate users and large organizations will become much more popular as greener ways to work become mandatory and companies embrace sustainable strategies.

Unveiling the Secrets How Does Generative AI Work.pdfSam H
At its core, generative artificial intelligence relies on the concept of generative models, which serve as engines that churn out entirely new data resembling their training data. It is like a sculptor who has studied so many forms found in nature and then uses this knowledge to create sculptures from his imagination that have never been seen before anywhere else. If taken to cyberspace, gans work almost the same way.
Memorandum Of Association Constitution of Company.pptseri bangash
www.seribangash.com
A Memorandum of Association (MOA) is a legal document that outlines the fundamental principles and objectives upon which a company operates. It serves as the company's charter or constitution and defines the scope of its activities. Here's a detailed note on the MOA:
Contents of Memorandum of Association:
Name Clause: This clause states the name of the company, which should end with words like "Limited" or "Ltd." for a public limited company and "Private Limited" or "Pvt. Ltd." for a private limited company.
https://seribangash.com/article-of-association-is-legal-doc-of-company/
Registered Office Clause: It specifies the location where the company's registered office is situated. This office is where all official communications and notices are sent.
Objective Clause: This clause delineates the main objectives for which the company is formed. It's important to define these objectives clearly, as the company cannot undertake activities beyond those mentioned in this clause.
www.seribangash.com
Liability Clause: It outlines the extent of liability of the company's members. In the case of companies limited by shares, the liability of members is limited to the amount unpaid on their shares. For companies limited by guarantee, members' liability is limited to the amount they undertake to contribute if the company is wound up.
https://seribangash.com/promotors-is-person-conceived-formation-company/
Capital Clause: This clause specifies the authorized capital of the company, i.e., the maximum amount of share capital the company is authorized to issue. It also mentions the division of this capital into shares and their respective nominal value.
Association Clause: It simply states that the subscribers wish to form a company and agree to become members of it, in accordance with the terms of the MOA.
Importance of Memorandum of Association:
Legal Requirement: The MOA is a legal requirement for the formation of a company. It must be filed with the Registrar of Companies during the incorporation process.
Constitutional Document: It serves as the company's constitutional document, defining its scope, powers, and limitations.
Protection of Members: It protects the interests of the company's members by clearly defining the objectives and limiting their liability.
External Communication: It provides clarity to external parties, such as investors, creditors, and regulatory authorities, regarding the company's objectives and powers.
https://seribangash.com/difference-public-and-private-company-law/
Binding Authority: The company and its members are bound by the provisions of the MOA. Any action taken beyond its scope may be considered ultra vires (beyond the powers) of the company and therefore void.
Amendment of MOA:
While the MOA lays down the company's fundamental principles, it is not entirely immutable. It can be amended, but only under specific circumstances and in compliance with legal procedures. Amendments typically require shareholder

Putting the SPARK into Virtual Training.pptxCynthia Clay
This 60-minute webinar, sponsored by Adobe, was delivered for the Training Mag Network. It explored the five elements of SPARK: Storytelling, Purpose, Action, Relationships, and Kudos. Knowing how to tell a well-structured story is key to building long-term memory. Stating a clear purpose that doesn't take away from the discovery learning process is critical. Ensuring that people move from theory to practical application is imperative. Creating strong social learning is the key to commitment and engagement. Validating and affirming participants' comments is the way to create a positive learning environment.

14. Applications depend on materials and size of project
One needs to first define the result required
Most large applications require an electric atomiser
Note the three types of coating functions:
1. Hydrophobic ( water repelling…drops form beads….using Sio2 etc ( so easy cleaning,
less detergents, labour….
2. Hydrophilic ( water attracting : drops flatten out) Tio2… the functions are opposite! (
the force of the water to the surface on impact removed dirt which then falls with gravity
and rain)
3. Photocatalytic ( UV-induced reactions that cause decomposition of dirt
molecules….great for outside glass & concrete)
1, CLEAN- 2, Pre-CLEAN, 3,SPRAY, 4, POLISH
Polymerisation will take immediate effect,

Sept 2011
16. Abrasion can remove coatings. Anti-bacterial charge can fail after 12 months.
Surface tension can be measured to determine fatigueless . Follow up cleaning of fatigued areas with
Isopropanol, pre-cleaner is recommended. New applications may be required annually depending on
materials and environment. Coatings generally are food safe.

Editor's Notes
Introduction Thanks to Qube…. I am not a technical person you may be pleased to hear! When I switch the electricity at home I am not that interested once it comes on! Similarly with TV. I switch it on and don’t think about how it all works. It is the value of technology to business, human life and society that I am excited about, not how it actually works, but how it can deliver value.
