Editor's Notes
I was thinking of a project where i would be able to showcase illustrations and animation. What I came up with is an interactive comic book where The user has the ability to choose and customize their own experience through selecting features throughout the novel.
I would be experimenting with non-linear storytelling and navigation through the use of user directed panels
Users would essentially interact with the story by selecting an item within a panel to learn more about the characters while continuing through larger story.
Nam Le’s acclaimed short story The Boat tells the plights of groups of people forced to flee the Vietnam War by boat. This tale of basic survival feels especially relevant in the current climate of asylum seekers risking their lives to flee their countries.
Ou rea and navigate the story by scrolling th mouse and different events and animations and sounds happen as you
The basic premise is a story of a hero who is about to “embark on a challenging mission to capture confidential data and get away safely.”
As you scroll you receive another illustrated, storyboard style horizontal and vertical scroller. Periodically the piece introduces the different features of Peugeot’s HYbrid4 technology.
Nawlz is an online interactive comic book. It combines the use of text, illustration, music, animation and interactivity to tell the story. The story follows Harley Chambers as he kicks thru the futuristic City of Nawlz engaging in overlaying virtual realities, mind-bending drugs and other strange techno-cultures
I wanted to do a story based on African myths and legends. Or something from my own tswana traditions After thinking about a few ranging from shaka to nongqawuse I finally landed on…
I plan to tell the story loosely based on the rain queen. In my version the queen hasn been around for a hundred years after the last one committed suicided. In present day she is reincarnated in the body of my character. As a result the character has the exrtraordinary powers. The story will start of whith my character being captured by authorities and working backwards to how she got there.
let’s get to the specifics. For my final project, I am planning on creating a one issue comic,- to show origin story
