Security
Creating strong passwords: Do not use your name, or personal information. Try
and use capital letters, numbers, and symbols.
Keeping passwords secret: DO NOT SHARE WITH OTHERS. You do not want
others to have access to your personal online accounts. Keep these passwords in
a safe location.
Ethics
Plagiarism: Do not use someone else work and claim it as your own. If you use
their information, make sure that you also say that you got it from them.
Breaking Copyright: Illegally using copyrighted media without permission.
Improper use of computer resources: Looking up bad websites or searching
inappropriate things on a school computer.
Etiquette
BE NICE: If you wouldn’t say it in person, don’t say it over the internet.
Respect others privacy: Do not spread or use other’s information without their
permission.
Use Appropriate Language: When posting material or talking to someone online,
make sure that you use appropriate language that everyone will be okay with.
Follow the rules: Make sure that you are following the rules of the website that
you are on.
Cyber Bullying
● Be nice to all people!!
● It is never okay to be mean or harsh to anyone online.
● IF YOU WOULDN’T SAY IT IN PERSON, DON’T SAY IT ONLINE!
● Think about how what you are about to say would make you feel.
● Spreading rumors and lies around the internet can really hurt someone.
Make sure that you are not saying things that may hurt another person
online.
