Skills gaps in formulation science amongst technical and R&D personnel
University courses in general don’t cover much industry-relevant formulation
science and technology
Formulation knowledge held by experienced individuals with industry specific
knowledge – handover to successors is not always easy
Very little formalised training internally – internal experts have little time
External training may be available and seen as potentially effective but...
Where training provision for formulation exists it is often ad hoc - not part of a
coherent programme
