Generating a custom Ruby SDK for your web service or Rails API using Smithyg2nightmarescribd
Have you ever wanted a Ruby client API to communicate with your web service? Smithy is a protocol-agnostic language for defining services and SDKs. Smithy Ruby is an implementation of Smithy that generates a Ruby SDK using a Smithy model. In this talk, we will explore Smithy and Smithy Ruby to learn how to generate custom feature-rich SDKs that can communicate with any web service, such as a Rails JSON API.
Slack (or Teams) Automation for Bonterra Impact Management (fka Social Soluti...Jeffrey Haguewood
Sidekick Solutions uses Bonterra Impact Management (fka Social Solutions Apricot) and automation solutions to integrate data for business workflows.
We believe integration and automation are essential to user experience and the promise of efficient work through technology. Automation is the critical ingredient to realizing that full vision. We develop integration products and services for Bonterra Case Management software to support the deployment of automations for a variety of use cases.
This video focuses on the notifications, alerts, and approval requests using Slack for Bonterra Impact Management. The solutions covered in this webinar can also be deployed for Microsoft Teams.

Neuro-symbolic is not enough, we need neuro-*semantic*Frank van Harmelen
Neuro-symbolic (NeSy) AI is on the rise. However, simply machine learning on just any symbolic structure is not sufficient to really harvest the gains of NeSy. These will only be gained when the symbolic structures have an actual semantics. I give an operational definition of semantics as “predictable inference”.
All of this illustrated with link prediction over knowledge graphs, but the argument is general.
Connector Corner: Automate dynamic content and events by pushing a buttonDianaGray10
Here is something new! In our next Connector Corner webinar, we will demonstrate how you can use a single workflow to:
Create a campaign using Mailchimp with merge tags/fields
Send an interactive Slack channel message (using buttons)
Have the message received by managers and peers along with a test email for review
But there’s more:
In a second workflow supporting the same use case, you’ll see:
Your campaign sent to target colleagues for approval
If the “Approve” button is clicked, a Jira/Zendesk ticket is created for the marketing design team
But—if the “Reject” button is pushed, colleagues will be alerted via Slack message
Join us to learn more about this new, human-in-the-loop capability, brought to you by Integration Service connectors.

APPLICATION
For today’s budget conscious outdoor enthusiast ATN presents the DNVM
Digital night vision monoculars.
Recent advancements in low light digital sensor technology have allowed
us to create a new line of night vision monculars that provide the user with
superior clarity and a high light gain at a minimal cost. A wide array of mag-
nification options combined with a compact, ergonomic design make the
DNVM line from ATN an excellent unit for your night vision needs.
The ATN DNVMs are perfect for camping, boating, or home security.
BATTERY INSTALLATION
Unpack the device. Remove from carrying case.
Insert the battery, as follows:
1) Unscrew the battery compartment cover.
2) Insert the battery in the battery compartment observing the right polar-
ity, which is shown on the side of the unit.
3) Reattach the battery compartment cover.
After installing the battery, DNVM is ready for use.
4. OPERATION
TURN UNIT ON/OFF
• Remove the lens cap. (please note one
of the advantages of using a digital night
vision unit is you can use during the day-
time without worry of damage)
• To turn on the device push the button
marked “ON”. After this you can start ob-
serving. The lit screen of the digital unit
means that the device is working nor-
mally. The power indicator LED will glow
green.
• To turn off the device push the button marked “ON” again. The lit screen
will go dark. The green power indicator LED will turn off.
FOCUS
• Your digital unit has two focusing methods. Distance and diopter. Your
front lens works as your distance focus and your eyepiece is your diopter.
• Turn eyepiece to ensure clear screen image.
• Turn front lens to obtain a sharp image of viewed objects.
IR ILLUMINATION
In dark environments to achieve maximum performance turn on the IR
illuminator.
• Turn on the IR illuminator push the button marked “IR”
• The IR indicator light will show red when illuminator is on.
• Turn off the illuminator push the button marked “IR” button again. The red
power indicator LED will turn off.
ADJUSTABLE MANUAL GAIN/BRIGHTNESS
The DNVMs have an advanced manual
gain/brightness adjustment wheel. This
wheel will allow you to be able to maxi-
mize the DNVMs brightness to area you
are viewing. Turn the wheel back and
forth while viewing through the device to
lower or increase the brightness of the
unit. Too much gain will give you a white
or washed out image. Too low of a gain
will produce a black or snowy/grainy im-
age.

5. VIDEO-OUT
To make a video connection:
1) Insert a composite video cable to the
Video-out jack on the DNVM.
2) Connect the other end of the cable to
the TV/monitor video input jack.
STORAGE AND CARE
• If the device will not be in use for extended period of time (more than 10
days) remove the battery. This will prevent leakage of the battery and dam-
age of contacts in the battery compartment.
• Avoid touching of lenses. If fingerprints or traces of dirt or dust appear,
clean their surface with a Photographic lens cleaning tissue.
• Keep lens cap/daylight filter on when not in use.
• The DNVM is not harmful to the user or the environment.
• Do not disassemble: it will void your warranty.
• Evaluate the scope functionality by looking through it in a lit environment
• Adverse atmospheric conditions such as fog, smog, or haze and a lack
of ambient light (moon or starlight) may diminish the effective viewing dis-
tance.
• If you use the rubber eyecaps for a long period of time, you may suffer
skin inflammation. If you develop any symptoms, consult a doctor imme-
diately.
