Organization is
the Key Essence
of Development
eing the oldest and first of its kind, chemical industry impinge
Bon virtually every aspect of our lives. You can feel the patches
of chemicals to every surface, not just Agriculture, but wide-
variedly- Environment, Hygiene, Food, Décor, and Transportation, etc.
Deliberately, it has blanketed 13% of the Indian GDP which is a huge
margin of development. But at the same time, chemical manufacturers
are striving even harder to raise the bottom line profitably by
improving productivity, agility and innovation.
As the chemical’s arising tide raising all other boats, agricultural
industry using different chemicals; fertilizers, insecticides, fungicides,
and pesticides helping sustain higher yields, reduce the loss of crops
and lessen the level of natural toxins produced by fungi and bacteria.
Food being the other bud of agriculture industry only, is important to
everyone. Chemicals at hand, opens the doors to taste enhancers,
preservatives, and flavours which when added to food makes it more
palatable and mounts the shelf life. Considered equally important for
life, pharmaceuticals is known savior discipline with which numerous
laboratories, experimenting with lots of exported chemicals, are set-up
to study various endemic and epidemic diseases. But at the same time
scientists are penning down the significance of re-cycling which helps
to re-use the waste material, curbing the use of less raw materials.
Researches are accelerating its flow in direction of bio-engineering,
artificial human organ production, mutation and genetic-reengineering.
And combining it with marketing intelligence becomes necessary for
companies to hitch the ride with competition. Progress in cloud data
storage, batch processing, and real time automated data processing
technology assists to track data about pressure settings, temperatures
and flows which makes production process more smooth.
Internet of Things, has enabled connectivity between equipments and
smart devices which allow manufacturers to find out gaps in the
manufacturing process in real time. Anticipating faults and
maintenance is done with smart systems, like embedded software and
analytics which enables the monitoring of chemical reactors. Summing
up, all this turn to insightful collected data which is smartly analyzed
helps business owners/managers to make intelligent decisions in all
M's of business viz. Machinery, Manpower, Material and Market.
Chemical industry like all other industries should keep up with latest
innovations, but keeping the sustainability and ecosystem friendliness
in mind would help in elimanting the negative impact of chemical
substances. Though the sector has historically swung like pendulum
between good times and bad, but with hybridization of proprietary
research and strategic steps in business process could draw extensive
success and breed new innovations.

Helping Soil to be more Fertile
Agricaltural Testing Kits - Soil Test Kit: Using this
portable soil testing kit developed at ANGR Agricultural
University, Rajendranagar, Hyderabad, one can analyze soil
at field level and know the soil fertility status on the spot.
This Kit consists of chemical reagents for 10 parameters
and a small instrument for salinity test. To determine the
parameters, reagents are provided in the kit along with all
accessories. Methods of analysis, colour charts for different
parameters and fertilizer schedule for different crops are
provided in the booklet supplied with the kit. Soil sample is
taken in beaker/soil shaking bottle provided in the kit and
mixed with definite quantity of the reagents and filtered
through filter paper into a test tube followed by colour
development as per the instructions. Based on the colour
shade one can know the test results.
Using this soil test kit one can analyse pH, EC, organic
carbon, nitrogen, phosphorus, potassium, sulphur, free
calcium carbonate, zinc, iron and boron. Different colour
shades are provided in the kit for each test, this kit was
popularized in most parts of India and the technology
pertaining to it is patented.
Irrespective of the soil type, all the eleven parameters can
be analysed satisfactorily with this kit. It works well both in
mildly acidic soils, saline or alkaline soils and calcareous
soils.
Nutrients Importance to Plants
Agricultural Testing Kits - Plant Tissue Test Kit: The crop
growth and productivity is conditioned by many factors of
which, the nutrient status (content) of plant parts such as
leaf, stem, etc. play a critical role. Moreover the leaf and
stem are considered as the indicator parts of plants for
Dhana Crop Sciences the right crop protection

assessing the nutrients content of plant. Each crop plant
requires the essential element at a specific concentration at
different growth stages and it is known as ‘critical level’.
When the nutrients content of plant depletes below the
critical level the plants may exhibit some symptoms.
The requirement or otherwise the availability of nutrients
can be assessed by:
Ÿ Plant diagnosis
Ÿ Soil analysis
Ÿ Plant analysis by two methods
a) Qualitative test
b) Quantitative estimation.
Based on the plant or soil tests, the required nutrients can be
applied for crops to sustain the growth and rectify the
deficiency disorders. The rapid tissue test would pave way
for rectifying the nutritional problems for quick recovery:
however the quantitative estimation of both plant and soil
for nutrients concentration will be more useful and
economic for applying fertilizers either as basal or foliar
and would be the long term strategy to cope up with
nutritional problems.
Scrutnizisng Importance of Water
Agricultural Testing Kits - Water Test Kit for Irrigation
Water Analysis: Irrigation waters have to be judged for
their quality in terms of its salinity hazards (EC) or alkali
hazards (SAR and other assay) or for specific ion effect
(chlorine and boron contents). Under polluting
environments, which are specific, heavy metal content like
lead, cadmium, chromium and mercury besides BOD and
COD are also crucial.
It is more appropriate to have preliminary level
comprehendible water Test Kit that can easily be handled at
Gram Panchayat level, enabling the agricultural officers or
extension officials to do the analysis at field level and help
farmers to test irrigation water for qualitative aspects. It is
with this intention; a soil scientist at ANGRAU has come
up with a portable water Test Kit that can determine pH,
Electrical conductivity, total dissolved solids, total
hardness, alkalinity and salinity, apart from cations like
calcium, & Magnesium and anions like carbonates & bi-
carbonates, sulphates, chlorides, nitrates, phosphates and
fluorides which are important from water quality, salinity
hazard, plant nutrition and environmental point of view.
As the composition of irrigation waters is mostly evaluated
to determine its suitability for irrigation and much less as
carriers of plant nutrients, greater coverage has been given
to water quality aspects. In addition to above analytical
methods, interpretation of analytical data from the end point
of view has been included. This Water Kit has been
designed for a range of irrigation waters and is quite
suitable for small and marginal farmers of the semi arid
regions in India. Also, this water test kit is applicable in a
wide range of cultivable irrigated areas. This portable
Irrigation Water Test Kit is ideal for professional scientists
and non-scientists alike, for irrigation water quality
assessment under a wide variety of conditions. Farmers,
researchers, extension agents, and educators can use the
versatile test kit at remote sites, in the classroom, or even in
areas lacking electricity.
Manure, the Soul of Irrigation
Agricultural Testing Kits - Kit for Organic Manures: The
use of organic manures like farm yard manures,
vermicompost, farm residues, oil cakes, etc., along with
chemical fertilizers is receiving much attention. Addition of
organic manures in soil causes the soil life to flourish and
carry on with the related biological functions. The increase
in organic and major and secondary nutrients by continuous
supply of organic manures has been well documented.
The average nutrient content of a number of organic
manures can vary considerably in composition from one lot
to another but this should not come in the way of their
utilization as sources of plant nutrients in agriculture. Out
of various organic resources, materials derived from
animals and oil cakes are richer in nutrient content than
those derived from excreta, crop residues, refuses etc.
Number of small, medium and large companies started
manufacturing these organic manures and supply to the
farming community.

‘COVER STORY
The problem which was first encountered by these organic manures’ manufacturers was to know about the amount of
organic carbon content (Organic matter), major nutrients like nitrogen, phosphorus, potassium and tracer elements like
sulphur present in their organic manures instantly. This led to research concentrating on the development of a simple kit to
determine the organic carbon content in organic manures and interpreting the results in terms of organic matter. With
regard to total contents of major nutrients and micro nutrients, they have to be analysed in laboratory only which involves
treating organic manures with strong acids at high temperature for digestion of organic manures and analysed using
sophisticated equipments by colorimetric techniques and automic absorption. However, water soluble major nutrients like
nitrogen phosphorus, potassium and tracer elements like sulphur can be known instantly by this kit.

he demand and supply are very particular in
Tchemicals and mineral industries. As there are no
straight linear equations to it, let us take an example
of Paints and Plastics sectors whose CAGR’s will escalate
in excess of around 10% to 15% per annum in the coming
years. Based on this if we study the expansion plans of the
leading customers for these two segments, the demand for a
range of products will grow in linear progression according
to their growth. So 20 Microns Limited’s growth has to be
expanded in every two or three years to keep up with their
consistent pace.
Since past four years, constant research and product
development drive has led the company to a platform to
overdrive the investments. The source of fuel for such
focused product development and research has esteemed
the group of customers whose future price is to cost
expectation to the management which have been met by
their common endeavor.
The initial mission of 20 Microns was to serve the Paints
and Plastic to the manufacturing companies with a very
niche micronized inorganic chemicals by the name of
Micronized functional fillers and extenders. In the late 80’s,
such Micronized functional fillers were not being
manufactured in India whereas the demand for such
products was also very less because it had to be imported
from European countries. Considering the high prices of
importing, the end users preferred not to use them on a big
scale and limit them in certain niche products. 20 Microns
sensed this gap in the customer’s need for Micronized
chemicals with an affordable price range. That’s where the
founder of 20 Microns, Mr. Chandresh Parikh, carved out
a strategy and mission to serve such end industries with
Micronized Chemicals and Minerals.
Meteoric Expansion of 20 Microns
Initially, 20 Microns’ Powder base was used in the products
of the Paint & Plastic Industries and gradually our company
started serving to Paper, Ceramics, Printing Inks, Rubber,
Cosmetics, Agriculture, Construction and many more.
Eventually today 20 Microns is one of the Leading
Companies in Micronized Minerals Industry manufacturing
in excess of 4,00,000 Metric tons.
The Master behind 20 Microns
Mr. Chandresh Parikh, Founder of 20 Microns started his
career as the Top Management Member with a Paint
company in Africa. One of the key ingredients of paints was
of Mineral Powder which was procured from Europe-India.
Why Indian quality is not at par with European quality was
the question he wanted to find an answer for. Getting
imbibed with some splendid experiences, strong
knowledge, and the question mentioned above, he decided
to return to India in 1987. In no time, he immediately
started making the business plans to start a project for
Micronised minerals and chemicals. After importing
a technology and the maiden machine, Mr. Chandresh
Parikh coined the name of the company as 20 Microns
Limited and placed a foundation stone of activities in
Micronised Minerals at Waghodia-Vadodara in Gujarat.
Research and Development behind Success
After 1987, the company is marching ahead for new
technological advancements. The R&D has been percolated
16
down to the product development team and subsequently
the project development team to upscale it to volumetric
levels. The company has set up around 20,000 square feet
research and development center in Waghodia in Gujarat
which has been accredited and approved by DSIR
(Department of Scientific and Industrial Research)
Government of India, Technology Bhavan, and New Delhi.
Team 20 Microns has strength across all the departments
which have also contributed to a substantial role in the
company’s success till now.
Flat Roads are not for the Skillful People
The company has overcome with a huge establishment in
Bhuj, where the processing plant was placed right next to
the quarry. The company has a Superconducting Cryogenic
Magnetic Separator, which had been installed in 1998.
During the Earthquake in 2001, many machines were badly
destructed when the epicenter of the quake was few
kilometers away from their massive plant at Bhuj.
Cryogenic Magnetic Separator and few other machines
were then sent back to Europe for repairs. As a result, the
manufacturing department from the plant got hampered for
months. That was a major challenge, 20 Microns faced at
that time.
Future Line of 20 Microns
The customer’s future product expectation boosts the
company’s Research and development along with the
product development as well. Nano sizing and chemistry is
the road ahead for 20 Microns Limited. Also from the last
two years , our company is now targeting the Consumer
business by launching its products for Waterproofing of any
type of constructions. Our products were launched into the
consumer domain starting with Vadodara and our products
got good response and well accepted. Now the company is
planning to market these construction chemicals to all
Gujarat and then to PAN India level by creating
Distribution networks.
20 Microns also does commendable CSR activities by
conducting free checkup camps every week into several
small towns and villages on a continuous basis to make
people aware about DIABETES. The company also started
venturing into Micronized Ayurvedic Supplements since
last 3 years. The supplements are also getting good
response and well accepted in the markets where it is
launched. Here also the company wants to expand its
network of distribution to PAN India level in the coming
years.
Our company is currently in advanced stage for a potential
joint venture in Vietnam. Though we have offices in
Malaysia and UAE, this Joint venture in a manufacturing
plant of Micronized calcium carbonate will add more value
to our company in terms of expanding our reach to more
market share in growing economies.

Chemical finishes are often applied to a
garment to give it various properties,

toxins are ingested through your skin,
they are consumed by the lymphatic

Alkylphenols
Alkylphenol compounds include
nonylphenols (NPs) and octylphenols
and their ethoxylates, particularly
nonylphenol ethoxylates. NPs are
extensively used in the textiles industry
in cleaning and dyeing procedures.
They are toxic to aquatic life, stay in
the environment and can gather in
body tissue and biomagnify (increase
in concentration through the food

Phthalates are a set of chemicals most
frequently used to soften PVC (the
plastic polyvinyl chloride). In the
textile industry they are used in
artificial leather, rubber and PVC and
in some dyes. There are

about the toxicity of phthalates
such as DEHP (Bis(2-ethylhexyl)
phthalate), which is reprotoxic in
mammals, as it can interfere with
development of the testes in
premature life.
The phthalates named, DEHP and
DBP (Dibutyl phthalate) are
classified as ‘toxic to
reproduction' in Europe and their
use is restricted.
Brominated and chlorinated flame
retardants
Most of the brominated flame
retardants (BFRs) are persistent, and
the bioaccumulative chemicals that are
now present throughout the
environment. Polybrominated diphenyl
ethers (PBDEs) are among the most
popularcommon groups of BFRs and
have been used to fireproof a wide
variety of materials, including textiles.
Few PBDEs are competent of mixing
with the hormone systems involving
the growth and sexual development.
Under a law the use of some types of
PBDE is tightly restricted and one
PBDE has been listed as a ‘priority
hazardous substance’ under European
water law, which requires measures be
taken to eliminate the pollution caused
by BFRs on surface waters.
Azo dyes
Azo dyes are one of the main
classifications of dye used by the
textile industry. However, some of
these dyes break down during the use
and release chemicals known as
aromatic amines, some of which can
cause cancer.
Organotin compounds
Organotin compounds are used in
biocides and as antifungal agents in a
range of consumer products. Within the
textile industry they are being used in
materials such as socks, shoes and
sport clothes to avert odour caused by
the breakdown of sweat.
One of the best-known organotin
compounds is tributyltin (TBT). One of
its primary uses was in antifouling,
shipping painting, until evidence
surfaced that it persists in the
environment, builds up in the body and
can have negative impact on immune
and reproductive systems. Its use as an
antifouling paint is now largely
banned. TBT has also been used in
textiles.
Chlorobenzenes
Chlorobenzenes are persistent and
bioaccumulative chemicals that have
been used as solvents and biocides, in
the production of dyes and as chemical
intermediaries. The effects of exposure
19SEPTEMBER 2017 |
rely on the kind of chlorobenzene;
however, they commonly affect the
liver, thyroid and central nervous
system. Hexachlorobenzene (HCB),
the most toxic and persistent chemical
of this group, is also a hormone
disruptor.
They are also recorded as ‘persistent
organic pollutants’ for global
restriction under the Stockholm
Convention, and in line with this, they
are programmed for depletion and
eventual elimination in Europe.
Chlorinated solvents
Chlorinated solvents – such as
trichloroethane (TCE) – are used by
textile manufacturers to diffuse other
substances during manufacturing and
to immaculate fabrics.
Heavy metals: cadmium, lead,
mercury and chromium (VI)
Heavy metals such as cadmium, lead
and mercury, are being used in certain
dyes and pigments used for textiles.
These metals can cumulate in the body
over time and are highly toxic, with
irreversible effects including harm to
the nervous system (lead and mercury)
or the kidneys (cadmium). Cadmium is
also known to cause cancer. Uses of
chromium (VI), included in certain
textile processes and leather tanning is
highly toxic even at low
concentrations, having negative impact
to many aquatic organisms.
TCE is an ozone-depleting substance
that can linger in the environment. It is
also known to strike the central
nervous system, liver and kidneys.
Chlorophenols
Chlorophenols are a sort of chemicals
used as biocides in anextensive range
of applications, from pesticides to
wood preservatives and textiles.
Pentachlorophenol (PCP) and its sub-
divisions are used as biocides in the
textile industry. PCP is extremely toxic
to humans and can influence many
organs in the body. It is also highly
toxic to aquatic organisms.
Short-chain chlorinated paraffins
Short-chain chlorinated paraffins
(SCCPs)is used in textile industry as
flame retardants and finishing agents
for leather and textiles. They are
extremelypoisonous to aquatic
organisms, do not readily break down
in the environment and have a high
potential to cumulate in living
organisms.
Vigilance
If you clean with common supermarket
toxic detergents, then move to natural
detergents. It will take a few washings
to separate the residual toxic detergent
ingredients completely.
Read clothing labels and strive to elude
synthetic materials such as Rayon,
Nylon, Polyester, Acrylic, Acetate or
Triacetate as much as possible. Also
evade no-iron, wrinkle free and
preshrunk items. Basically, try to use
100% pure cotton or hemp clothing if
you see any.
Wash and dry clothes comprising
synthetic matter three times before
wearing. Some folks add baking soda
(not baking powder) to aid
neutralization of new clothing
chemicals while using natural
detergents, of course. Also, spurn those
dryer sheets that avert clinging unless
you can find them without virulent
chemicals.
Do not use dry cleaners that use
perchloroethylene, commonly known
as PERC. There are even some that
don’t. Find them or forget dry
cleaning. Even used clothing
purchased from thrift stores may be
spattered with some chemical before
they’re put up for sale. Wash and dry
them at least once.
Thus, we can conclude that clothes,
that we do not consider as an important
parameter of health is actually a
primary need of health concern making
it safe for HUMAN and OTHER
LIVING CREATURES present in
environment, thereby going GREEN.

ith start-up fever rising in India, there is also
Wrise in improper investments. In other words,
investment without proposer due-delegacy can
be referred as bad investment. Basically, start-up can be
broadly divided into two categories which we seen in
perspective of Intellectual Property are 1. Services oriented
start-up and 2. Technology based start-up.
1. Service oriented start-up generally have a unique
business using existing technology, e.g.: Ola, Flipkart,
Zomato, Mintra software companies and the like. In these
kind of industries even if they have an innovate idea, these
business models or the softwares cannot be protected under
patent law/protection in India. Copyright can be filed but it
gives very narrow protection. Therefore, you may see rise
in companies with similar concept. E.g. Amazon-Flipkart-
Snapdeal, Grofers-Bigbasket- BaniyaBabu-Amazon. These
companies largely survive on aggressive marketing
supported by good funding. Larger is the funding it’s easier
to do business and pass on benefits to the customers and
thereby creating a database of loyal customers, which even
can be sold with the brand later on.
2. Technology based Start-ups generally have an
innovative product, which can be protected under
patent. A start-up requires production facility,
marketing and sales team. As the product is protected
by patent, it’s very difficult for any competitor to enter
this market by making minor modifications. Patent
gives a border protection, provided that it’s drafted at
least correctly. Number of start-ups in these domain are
very less. We can many companies which are presently
large corporation but initially starts ups with IP savvy
strategies like QUALCOMM, Agrima Infotech,
Huawei, Lenovo and like.
Innovative product can be protected under “Patent” and
or “Design Registration”. Patent provides protection for
the technology and “Design Registration” also referred
as “Design Patent” for outer aesthetics. Under normal
process 4-7 years are required for getting a grant for
“Patent” and for getting Design registered/approved 03
months to 2year. Filing does not mean it is registered.
After registration/grant, a certificate is issued and the
status is accessible to all on ipindia.nic.in website only.
Most of the first time investors invest in a company,
which has filed a patent application. But, filing of a
patent application is the first step, which does not
guarantee grant or protection or monopoly in the
defined jurisdiction. Anyone can file anything with the
patent office and still an application number will be
issued. Which is a very normal process. There is no
restriction on filing of a patent application, but there are
criteria for grant of the patent application. Before filing
or after filing the patent application a patentability
search will also reveal the possibility of grant.
Normally, after filing a patent application, it’s published
in the patent journal, giving an opportunity to any
interested person/party to oppose the grant of the
patent. In most of the case opposition (pre-grant
oppositions) are not filed. Still the patent application is
examined to check whether the invention that is applied
for patent is patentable or not.
Patentability Criteria:
1. Novelty – The invention should be new world
wide,
2. Invention Step – even if the invention is new,
it should not be obvious modification
(E.g.: new application of the known machine,
| SEPTEMBER 201722
CXO Standpoint
composition etc., mere change in material, replacing one
technology with other know technology and the like)
3. Industrial application.
Examiners do a thorough search to find relevant citations
for negating grant of the patent application based on the
write-up submitted to the patent office and then try to
negate the patent based on inventive step with
combination of documents. This sent as an examination
report. Thereafter, a hearing may be called for resolving
any pending queries and thereafter the patent application
is granted. After grant, one can file patent infringement
cases and claim retrospective damages if any.
Even if the patent is granted there may be a possibility,
that the invention (a portion) may be infringing a live
patent. Which may cause major financial problem. This
search is generally referred as Freedom to Operate
(FTO) search in general done by patent professionals.
At last valuation of the patent should be done before
doing any transaction.
Thereafter, it would be good to go ahead with any
contracts and financial transactions.
Therefore, before investing into any patent application,
it would be recommended to check the quality of the
draft, patentability, infringement, and then decided to
make the investment. Additionally, valuation will give
approximate estimation of expected profits.

mines & Plasticizers Ltd. was incorporated in the
Ayear 1973 at the time when the chemical industry
was in its nascent stage. The Company initially
undertook a project to manufacture plasticizers and then put
up a plant under collaboration of NAPTHA-CHEMIE (now
BP) to develop ethanolamines. As the economy advanced
certain industries (which are now major clients of the
Company) required certain chemicals as one of their most
important components in their processes. APL through its
R&D developed these chemicals for the local and
international markets. The Company is currently engaged in
manufacturing organic and inorganic chemical compounds
like ethanolamines, alkyl alkanolamines, morpholine, alkyl
morpholines, gas treating solvents and morpholine oxide.
The expertise required in this niche sector has always kept
APL committed in its research and development for more
innovations in the chemical industry. Over a period of time,
the Company has through its Research and Development
(R&D) team evolved its own line of Specialty Chemicals
catering to various industries including oil refineries,
natural gas plants, ammonia plants, petrochemical plants,
pharmaceutical and agrochemicals. Since its inception APL
brand name has been synonymous with superior quality and
service. It has been in the chemical industry sector for more
than 4 decades and is a renowned name for Specialty
Chemicals in the Domestic as well as International markets.
Presented some unique products to chemical industry
APL manufactures over 50 different varieties of organic /
inorganic chemicals. One of the main product manufactured
by the Company is Methyl Diethanolamine (MDEA),
which is extensively used in large quantities in Refineries
and Gas Plants as a gas treating agent. The Company
received the highest award in the year 1991 from the
Government of India for the development of MDEA
which was required by ONGC in substantial quantities and
there were only 4 manufacturers in the World then. The
Company developed this chemical in its own R&D Centre.
Even today, ONGC uses this in their process.
Another chemical which the Company is one of the largest
producers in the World is, N-Methyl Morpholine Oxide
(NMMO), which is used in textiles and certain
pharmaceutical intermediaries.
Towering to International level
Mr. Hemant Kumar Ruia, Chairman and Managing
Director of Amies and Plasticizers is a Graduate in
Commerce and Law from Bombay University, having a rich
and varied experience. He has been associated with the
Company for the past 35 years and is looking after all major
policy decisions as well as day-to-day affairs of the
Company. He was appointed as Chairman and Managing
Director in the year 2002, when the company was in a
severe crisis due to liberalization. He has taken many
initiatives to diversify company’s operations into various
areas including technology and engineering. He can be
credited for turning around a company under BIFR into
profits within two years. Under his leadership, APL has
grown from a domestic level Chemical Company to a
Company of International repute having numerous overseas
renowned customers.
24
Turned to a Brand
APL has over a period of time, grown not only financially
but has established its own Brand name in the Chemical
Industry. The rich experience of its leadership, coupled with
the exuberance of its young workforce has proved to be an
optimal combination for the growth of the Company. The
Company has achieved success over the years through its
perseverance and commitment to research and development
of different products for its varied clientele.
Challenged the limits
APL is in the Chemical Industry for more than 4 decades
and has now established itself as a renowned name locally
as well as internationally, although initially in the year 1973
the chemical industry was neither developed nor the raw
materials were easily available. In those circumstances
establishing a Specialty Chemicals company was amongst a
rare sector to venture into. The Specialty Chemicals are
sensitive while storing as well as while using. The
Company needed chemical engineers and other work force
which is well versed with the nature and handling of the
products which was a difficult challenge in the initial years.
Industry scenario
Since the chemicals are not used by the end customers but
by the intermediaries like gas treating, pharmaceuticals,
natural gas, cosmetics etc., chemicals mostly have a stable
demand supply pattern and is not much disturbed by
temporary factors in the market.
Treating effluents in a better way
With the growing awareness of turning waste to wealth,
APL has also contributed with its own effluent treatment
plant and can boast of a ‘zero’ effluent plant. The water
generated through its effluent plant is used back for
gardening and other purpose.
Exploring unexplored market
Amines & Plasticizers has developed and further
developing certain value added chemicals to be used in the
manufacturing of electronic compounds thereby giving an
opportunity to an unexplored market. The initial trials of the
product has found great success world-wide.

Fraternization of Technology and

n the second half of the 20 century and at the beginning of the 21 century, a technological revolution in farming led by
advances in sensing and robotics technologies looks set to disrupt traditional farming. This technology changes forever
the way farmers work. Performance of agriculture and modern farms technics work far differently than those a few
decades ago, because of advancements in technology, including sensors, devices, machines and information technology.
Today’s agriculture prefers to use advanced technologies such as robots, temperature indicators and moisture sensors and
GPS technology. These advanced technologies and robotic systems allow businesses to be more profitable, effective, and
secure and environmentally friendly.
Background of the Agriculture Sector
The first twin-rotor system combine was introduced in the year 1975. This system allowed to cut crop and separate in one
side over the field. In 1994, a widely known scientist introduced satellite; it helped farmers to use this technology to see their
farms from overhead and allowing them for better tracking and planning. Year 2000 was a technology revolution year; when
people got to know about the use of mobile phone. Likely many people and farmers started using mobile phone which helps
them to maintain communication and on the other hand it facilitated farmers to place orders for seeds, fertilizer and it
provided information towards new techniques. The data revolution is helping people to take the right decision, and farmers
are no exemption. New mobile applications are providing information about the variety of fertilizers, firming process and
other resources which help farmers to get knowledge about farming. 2015 was the year when masses introduced with the
digital platform that conveys info about data collection, agronomic modeling and local weather monitoring, which gives the
idea to farmers about their fields. These tools allow farmers to plan for healthier crops and make firming strategy that is
beneficial for the planet. Therefore in the current year, the major breakthrough happened in farming technology which breaks
the all previous technics of farming.
Some Breakthrough Technologies are -
Use of Global Positioning System
Mainly GPS technology pinpoints location through satellites. Just like previously tractors replaced draft horse on the farm,
GPS technology also replaced eyeballing and guessing process in the farm. GPS can give farmers valuable information about
which areas need fertilizer and which don't. This information can save money and ensure that only the areas that need to
nutrients are getting it. GPS guided drones are performing tasks from crop spraying to livestock monitoring and creating 3D
maps.
The other technology is Sensor technology;
Sensor technology is basically monitoring everything like soil water content, temperature, humidity in grain silos and
information about plant health.
Advantages of Smart Phone
Now a day’s farmers are using advantages of the internet through their mobile phone. For the purpose to check current marker
scenario, Firming related videos, agriculture news, new technologies, and invention. In the other hand, they can easily find
out those applications which are specifically developed to help farmers. Not only this but also some mobile applications allow
them to ask their quires to the experts and get an appropriate response.
Harvesting with WIFI
In the modern agriculture system, technology helping farmer’s to use the electronic sensor distributed process which helps
them to find out different conditions; sometimes the gadgets send data to the farm server about the farm condition. This data
gets analyzed automatically. Then instruction gets passed on to the farmer which includes an appropriate dose of fertilizer,
delivering the right amount of water and finding the hole punched in crop rows. These data's are easily accessible by the
farmer in tablet or smart phones, giving real time information. These advanced technologies can also monitor soil conditions
| SEPTEMBER 201726
Tech Powered
i.e. nitrogen level in the soil and when to add fertilizer.
Robotic Formation in Agriculture
The self-driving cars one of the latest innovation in car
manufacturing industry and impact of this innovation could
also be witnessed in farming. Robots and self-driving
tractors are becoming very common in farming. Which
helping farmer to cut cost and time by automating time-
consuming tasks done by humans.
There are farming robots for picking strawberries and
lettuce, harvesting oranges and pruning grapevines, for
mowing hay etc. Many farmers still prefer using human-
driven tractors while others are using highly customized
and automated tractors attached to sensors and robots. That
can perform highly specific tasks, such as detecting where
cows have peed and treated the affected grass to stimulate
regrowth. Usually, these robots are guided by highly precise
GPS tracking that allows them to nimbly navigate through
the narrow spaces between crop rows.
Indoor Farming
According to research, Vertical farming or indoor farming is
gaining popularity because the farms optimize land use in
land-scarce and it can operate on minimal manpower. This
technic helps growers of to produce year-round including
specialty crops regardless of outdoor weather conditions.
But this is not as easy as indoor farming since it is very
challenging to produce an ideal sunlight that optimizes
growth in cramped indoor spaces. Full-spectrum fluorescent
and energy-intensive technologies provide required lights in
indoor farming which is very expensive. But innovations of
light-emitting diodes (LEDs) in recent years have provided
a cheaper and better alternative.
LED has also reduced the growing time compare to the
traditional lighting technology because farmers can use
different configurations to maximize the wavelengths of
light certain plants prefer. Hooking LEDs to timers allows
indoor farmers to maximize the ratio of light to dark that
can speed up the growing process. For example, certain
combinations of red and blue LEDs can reduce the amount
of time it takes to grow a head of lettuce indoors by up to
17 days.
The Agriculture sector is the essential sector for any
countries, as a stable agricultural sector can ensure food
security of a nation. It can generate employment and also
contributes on countries economic growth. Technology is a
magic touch in farming which can help a country to makes
drastic changes in this growing sector. In the past, farmers
worked hard for farming seeds but now scientist and
developers introduced new technology which can reduce
farmer work and make them smart and contribute to
country’s economic growth.
“Agriculture looks different today - our farmers are using GPS and
you can monitor your irrigation systems over the Internet,”
– Debbie Stabenow

n landing at the Bengaluru airport last week, I
ferried my backpack to the shared cab stand on a
pleasant 18 degree Celsius morning, and waited
for Uber. In a few minutes a cheerful person in mid-forties
showed up and opened up the trunk to put my cabin bag
over and looked over at my backpack and said “Nice bag,
sir!” Appreciating my fully stuffed overnighter ready Tumi
laptop backpack. “Where are you coming from, Sir?” Being
the conversationalist, I went “Thank you. I am coming from
Pune. Where are you from?” He goes “I am from Assam,
sir” as he turned on the car and started the ride on his uber
app.
I observed him navigate through the traffic and as we rode
along, I learnt a lot about how this Assamese driver with no
formal education moved to Bengaluru in his early forties
and learned a new language & culture (he spoke broken
Kannada at the toll booth) and how to use a smartphone and
this App and figured out a way he can earn livelihood. As I
chatted with my new Assamese friend for a few minutes on
the post demonetised economy and its impact (which BTW
is my current favourite topic for cab driver conversation), I
could see the change that this guy with almost no education
embraced in the last 3 years - language, culture, distance
migration into a new state, learnt new technology &
embraced a new business model of shared cab services,
battled with taxi unions and figured out a way to co-exist -
A mammoth change for a security guy turned entrepreneur
driver. I wondered whether this super senior IT leader, I am
meeting at Flipkart today might be ready for this much
change? He was. As I discovered later.
At Searce, as we help businesses become ready for the

and getting future ready etc., but resisting the status quo
post the change is a super interesting challenge. And driving
change management after the decision & purchase, battling
status quo as the new senior executives join in the finance
department (with the dinosaur age experience and the mere
nature of their profession, they definitely carry a lot of
weight) and go “But, I could do this on my excel
spreadsheet and this cloud version does not carry that exact
button. And I don't have time for this as I need to prepare
this budget that needs to go to the Chairman tomorrow.”
First thought that comes to mind is to point them to my dear
new friend - “The Change Superman” - Assamese driver in
Bengaluru. BTW: We have internalized a concept for this at
Searce, “finding the same old buttons in the new car”. And
‘finding this buttons business’ becomes especially
challenging when you just moved them into a Tesla. And
when the Finance department (or for that matter Operations,
Sales etc.) insists on putting petrol in the charging inlet of
your Tesla S, we need strong change advocates in the top
management to put their foot down and say, “get used to the
buttonless car, dude! or go drive your ford on uber or ola.”
But my Assamese friend crush them there too. He's
definitely more change ready.
This is the single-most driver for success in today’s
businesses - Is the CEO or leader or the board (depending
on the size of the company) going to make the change or
become the change? While leading the digital
transformation journey through cloud, automation &
analytics for 1200+ businesses, our experience has been
counter intuitive Just like my friend ‘The Change
Superman’ - the normal tech laggards in traditional
industries like manufacturing, retail and logistics have been
more “ongoing change ready” than some of the large
tech/IT/ITES/e-commerce companies - given the depth of
baggage they carry at times.
If you are an entrepreneur or wannabe entrepreneur starting
now - It is super exciting times to help futurify businesses.
Advancements in cloud and automation technologies are
changing the industry landscape for good. Conversations
have shifted from ‘Why cloud?’ to ‘How can I best move to
cloud?’.
Gartner predicts that by 2020 anything other than a cloud-
only strategy for new IT initiatives will require justification
at more than 30% of large-enterprise organizations. It is
also highly likely that by 2025, 80% of organizations will
move their processes to cloud. Rest won’t exist! For
businesses to stay relevant in such a rapidly changing
environment, adaptability to new age technologies remains
the key. As an entrepreneur, if you are not asking ‘How is
my business being changed by digital technology and How
do I adapt?’, a non-competitor might soon be emerging
around the corner with a tech-led disruption. Don’t get
blind-sided. Digital Transformation is forcing us to plan for
a radical, long term evolution in the ways we interact with
our customers and employees. Visionary C-level leaders are
not just riding the cloud and automation wave but are using
it as an opportunity to fundamentally disrupt their own
business models before someone else does. Digital
transformation not only requires strong leadership to drive
change, but it also requires a clear vision for what parts of
the company need to transform and how soon. Helping
leaders in defining and executing this vision is where
Searce continues to play a strong catalytic role.
As we work with businesses and help them futurify (stay
relevant for future), we constantly challenge ourselves and
our partners to get out of the ‘comfort zone’ and to ‘think
beyond’. While driving digital transformation, our
consultants continually experiment with new age
technology and help business discover what to improve,
where to innovate and how to transform. Transforming
Work & Operations by digitizing processes and enhancing
employee collaboration, Transforming Culture & People
Processes by having democratic more social way of doing
things, Transforming Customer Experience using
customer analytics & Transforming Business Models by
digitally modifying existing businesses remain the main
foundations for driving a successful Digital Transformation
strategy.
Technology advancements have always been beneficial for
the humankind in the long run & Industrial Revolution 2.0
is going to be no different. Let us embrace the changes and
prepare better for the future, now!
| SEPTEMBER 201734
Acompany begins from engaging top executives to
develop business strategies and goals. They
actively govern business ideas, structure, products
or services, business location and business market.
Focusing on these aspects to implement an effective and
unique program is the primary objective for a foundation.
Engagement, communication, creativity and innovation,
project management and culture connect is the vision of any
startup. It is also necessary to make sure the right people are
getting involved at the right places. All employees should
have the opportunity to contribute to the shared purpose and
also enough resources and suitable environmental
conditions should be provided to encourage employee
growth. To establish a small startup, it needs to work on the
changing ideas, concepts and procedures regularly to adapt
to inevitable and unexpected problems.
The Big Idea
A splendid idea is the secret ingredient for any innovative
organization. A big idea gives an organization the high
ground in the marketplace. It stands out like a beacon,
attracting new customers and employees too, often without
the need for expensive advertisement.
A useful and unique idea can make a huge difference in the
profit of the business. It can easily attract right kinds of
funding in easier and cheaper ways. This is how it secures
the position of the organization in the future. And that’s
how a big idea makes an organization more profitable, more
visible, and more attractive in a low cost.
Individual benefit vs corporate benefit
Spending time with employees’ side-by-side and
understanding how they work and explaining to them about
new technologies and strategies can create positive impact
their lives at work. A good employee can always develop
their skills by the training program in their company. It is
not just about implementing the right policies or hiring the
right people, but also providing new insights on how
employee training and development are conducted in other
companies and organizations and how to go about
achieving the employee development goals. This is not only
beneficial for the employee’s career growth but would also
ensure that the company’s services are on the right hands.
Proper training helps to develop the talents of their staffs
and also easily harness the future of the market. This helps
to expose the employee to various experts in the field with
different perspectives and opinions with regards to
employee engagement and also better understand the
company’s needs and objectives.
Collaboration brings out new ideas of other
organizations
Today, the biggest breakthroughs happen when people with
a collective vision join together and share ideas,
information, and work. Most top CEOs don’t do all the
work themselves. Their success as an individual has now
put them in a position where they are able to hire others
who can work together to accomplish a single goal.
Collaboration is the key element for businesses embarking
on the “good to great” journey. This entails more than just
people working together; but the entire process comes
under one shelter. Creative collaboration encourages new
idea and services of other expertise to join forces with the
existing brand and set the foundation for innovation and
success. This also includes learning to coach and the
potential to inspire and motivate to form a strong team or
foundation.
Change is the daily attire of any Business
As societies continue to evolve and changing demand
creates the need for new products and services, businesses
often are forced to make changes to stay competitive. The
businesses that continue to survive and even thrive are
usually the ones that most readily adapt to change. The
A
is the
Successful Organization
Key Essence of Development
| SEPTEMBER 201736
Organizational Strategies
economy market trending with new ideas and technology
forces a business to reevaluate its methods of operation.
Factors like the entrance of a new competitor into a market,
innovations in technology, desire to growth, need to
improve processes and government regulation can cause a
business to change its planning and strategy. Constant
change is essential—as it’s the only way to adapt quickly
with the market change.
A leader can only led to a successful organization
An organization is never known without its founder. He is
the thinker behind the thought. Leadership has to start at the
top but it isn’t great unless it spreads throughout the
organization. The most successful companies recognize
effective leaders and harness them to maximize results.
Anybody who has ever watched interviews with managers
or coaches of professional sports teams will have heard
plenty of discussion of the need for leaders throughout the
team. A leader should encourage teamwork and inspire
others to perform. Companies demands from the leaders for
global fluency and flexibility, building the ability to
innovate and acquiring new levels of understanding of
rapidly changing technologies and new disciplines and
fields.
A team leader should aim to build a star team and not a
team of stars. An entrepreneur as a leader can drive the
whole organization together to change the vision into a
reality. The support and guidance to their employees can
bring out new innovations and help them to achieve it.
“It’s not about ideas. It’s about making ideas happen.”
– Scott Belsky

You can feel the patches of chemicals to every surface, not just Agriculture, but wide- variedly- Environment, Hygiene, Food, Décor, and Transportation, etc. Deliberately, it has blanketed 13% of the Indian GDP which is a huge margin of development. But at the same time, chemical manufacturers are striving even harder to raise the bottom line profitably by improving productivity, agility and innovation. As the chemical’s arising tide raising all other boats, agricultural industry using different chemicals; fertilizers, insecticides, fungicides, and pesticides helping sustain higher yields, reduce the loss of crops and lessen the level of natural toxins produced by fungi and bacteria. Food being the other bud of agriculture industry only, is important to everyone. Chemicals at hand, opens the doors to taste enhancers, preservatives, and flavours which when added to food makes it more palatable and mounts the shelf life. Considered equally important for life, pharmaceuticals is known savior discipline with which numerous laboratories, experimenting with lots of exported chemicals, are set-up to study various endemic and epidemic diseases. But at the same time scientists are penning down the significance of re-cycling which helps to re-use the waste material, curbing the use of less raw materials. Researches are accelerating its flow in direction of bio-engineering, artificial human organ production, mutation and genetic-reengineering. And combining it with marketing intelligence becomes necessary for companies to hitch the ride with competition. Progress in cloud data storage, batch processing, and real time automated data processing technology assists to track data about pressure settings, temperatures and flows which makes production process more smooth. Internet of Things, has enabled connectivity between equipments and smart devices which allow manufacturers to find out gaps in the manufacturing process in real time. Anticipating faults and maintenance is done with smart systems, like embedded software and analytics which enables the monitoring of chemical reactors. Summing up, all this turn to insightful collected data which is smartly analyzed helps business owners/managers to make intelligent decisions in all M's of business viz. Machinery, Manpower, Material and Market. Chemical industry like all other industries should keep up with latest innovations, but keeping the sustainability and ecosystem friendliness in mind would help in elimanting the negative impact of chemical substances. Though the sector has historically swung like pendulum between good times and bad, but with hybridization of proprietary research and strategic steps in business process could draw extensive success and breed new innovations. Based on the colour shade one can know the test results. Using this soil test kit one can analyse pH, EC, organic carbon, nitrogen, phosphorus, potassium, sulphur, free calcium carbonate, zinc, iron and boron. Different colour shades are provided in the kit for each test, this kit was popularized in most parts of India and the technology pertaining to it is patented. Irrespective of the soil type, all the eleven parameters can be analysed satisfactorily with this kit. It works well both in mildly acidic soils, saline or alkaline soils and calcareous soils. Nutrients Importance to Plants Agricultural Testing Kits - Plant Tissue Test Kit: The crop growth and productivity is conditioned by many factors of which, the nutrient status (content) of plant parts such as leaf, stem, etc. play a critical role. Moreover the leaf and stem are considered as the indicator parts of plants for Dhana Crop Sciences the right crop protection because it offers a consistent supply of superior formulations, sold at value prices. Control, consistency and cost give you confidence in Dhana Crop Sciences products.
  • 13. assessing the nutrients content of plant. Each crop plant requires the essential element at a specific concentration at different growth stages and it is known as ‘critical level’. When the nutrients content of plant depletes below the critical level the plants may exhibit some symptoms. The requirement or otherwise the availability of nutrients can be assessed by: Ÿ Plant diagnosis Ÿ Soil analysis Ÿ Plant analysis by two methods a) Qualitative test b) Quantitative estimation. Based on the plant or soil tests, the required nutrients can be applied for crops to sustain the growth and rectify the deficiency disorders. The rapid tissue test would pave way for rectifying the nutritional problems for quick recovery: however the quantitative estimation of both plant and soil for nutrients concentration will be more useful and economic for applying fertilizers either as basal or foliar and would be the long term strategy to cope up with nutritional problems. Scrutnizisng Importance of Water Agricultural Testing Kits - Water Test Kit for Irrigation Water Analysis: Irrigation waters have to be judged for their quality in terms of its salinity hazards (EC) or alkali hazards (SAR and other assay) or for specific ion effect (chlorine and boron contents). Under polluting environments, which are specific, heavy metal content like lead, cadmium, chromium and mercury besides BOD and COD are also crucial. It is more appropriate to have preliminary level comprehendible water Test Kit that can easily be handled at Gram Panchayat level, enabling the agricultural officers or extension officials to do the analysis at field level and help farmers to test irrigation water for qualitative aspects. It is with this intention; a soil scientist at ANGRAU has come up with a portable water Test Kit that can determine pH, Electrical conductivity, total dissolved solids, total hardness, alkalinity and salinity, apart from cations like calcium, & Magnesium and anions like carbonates & bi- carbonates, sulphates, chlorides, nitrates, phosphates and fluorides which are important from water quality, salinity hazard, plant nutrition and environmental point of view. As the composition of irrigation waters is mostly evaluated to determine its suitability for irrigation and much less as carriers of plant nutrients, greater coverage has been given to water quality aspects. In addition to above analytical methods, interpretation of analytical data from the end point of view has been included. This Water Kit has been designed for a range of irrigation waters and is quite suitable for small and marginal farmers of the semi arid regions in India. Also, this water test kit is applicable in a wide range of cultivable irrigated areas. This portable Irrigation Water Test Kit is ideal for professional scientists and non-scientists alike, for irrigation water quality assessment under a wide variety of conditions. Farmers, researchers, extension agents, and educators can use the versatile test kit at remote sites, in the classroom, or even in areas lacking electricity. Manure, the Soul of Irrigation Agricultural Testing Kits - Kit for Organic Manures: The use of organic manures like farm yard manures, vermicompost, farm residues, oil cakes, etc., along with chemical fertilizers is receiving much attention. Addition of organic manures in soil causes the soil life to flourish and carry on with the related biological functions. The increase in organic and major and secondary nutrients by continuous supply of organic manures has been well documented. The average nutrient content of a number of organic manures can vary considerably in composition from one lot to another but this should not come in the way of their utilization as sources of plant nutrients in agriculture. Out of various organic resources, materials derived from animals and oil cakes are richer in nutrient content than those derived from excreta, crop residues, refuses etc. Number of small, medium and large companies started manufacturing these organic manures and supply to the farming community. Get Control, Consistency and Cost effective Farming with Dhana Crops Sciences. ‘ ‘COVER STORY
  • 14. The problem which was first encountered by these organic manures’ manufacturers was to know about the amount of organic carbon content (Organic matter), major nutrients like nitrogen, phosphorus, potassium and tracer elements like sulphur present in their organic manures instantly. This led to research concentrating on the development of a simple kit to determine the organic carbon content in organic manures and interpreting the results in terms of organic matter. With regard to total contents of major nutrients and micro nutrients, they have to be analysed in laboratory only which involves treating organic manures with strong acids at high temperature for digestion of organic manures and analysed using sophisticated equipments by colorimetric techniques and automic absorption. However, water soluble major nutrients like nitrogen phosphorus, potassium and tracer elements like sulphur can be known instantly by this kit. Upcoming Products Latest offering by Dhana Crop Sciences: Pasura Gold Granules are derived from natural proteins, fulvic acids and organic substances. • 18. 20Microns: PavingthewayforwardFromMiningtoMicronizingto SubMicronizingtoNanoChemicals he demand and supply are very particular in Tchemicals and mineral industries. As there are no straight linear equations to it, let us take an example of Paints and Plastics sectors whose CAGR’s will escalate in excess of around 10% to 15% per annum in the coming years. Based on this if we study the expansion plans of the leading customers for these two segments, the demand for a range of products will grow in linear progression according to their growth. So 20 Microns Limited’s growth has to be expanded in every two or three years to keep up with their consistent pace. Since past four years, constant research and product development drive has led the company to a platform to overdrive the investments. The source of fuel for such focused product development and research has esteemed the group of customers whose future price is to cost expectation to the management which have been met by their common endeavor. The initial mission of 20 Microns was to serve the Paints and Plastic to the manufacturing companies with a very niche micronized inorganic chemicals by the name of Micronized functional fillers and extenders. In the late 80’s, such Micronized functional fillers were not being manufactured in India whereas the demand for such products was also very less because it had to be imported from European countries. Considering the high prices of importing, the end users preferred not to use them on a big scale and limit them in certain niche products. 20 Microns sensed this gap in the customer’s need for Micronized chemicals with an affordable price range. That’s where the founder of 20 Microns, Mr. Chandresh Parikh, carved out a strategy and mission to serve such end industries with Micronized Chemicals and Minerals. Meteoric Expansion of 20 Microns Initially, 20 Microns’ Powder base was used in the products of the Paint & Plastic Industries and gradually our company started serving to Paper, Ceramics, Printing Inks, Rubber, Cosmetics, Agriculture, Construction and many more. Eventually today 20 Microns is one of the Leading Companies in Micronized Minerals Industry manufacturing in excess of 4,00,000 Metric tons. The Master behind 20 Microns Mr. Chandresh Parikh, Founder of 20 Microns started his career as the Top Management Member with a Paint company in Africa. One of the key ingredients of paints was of Mineral Powder which was procured from Europe-India. Why Indian quality is not at par with European quality was the question he wanted to find an answer for. Getting imbibed with some splendid experiences, strong knowledge, and the question mentioned above, he decided to return to India in 1987. In no time, he immediately started making the business plans to start a project for Micronised minerals and chemicals. After importing a technology and the maiden machine, Mr. Chandresh Parikh coined the name of the company as 20 Microns Limited and placed a foundation stone of activities in Micronised Minerals at Waghodia-Vadodara in Gujarat. Research and Development behind Success After 1987, the company is marching ahead for new technological advancements. The R&D has been percolated 16
  • 19. down to the product development team and subsequently the project development team to upscale it to volumetric levels. The company has set up around 20,000 square feet research and development center in Waghodia in Gujarat which has been accredited and approved by DSIR (Department of Scientific and Industrial Research) Government of India, Technology Bhavan, and New Delhi. Team 20 Microns has strength across all the departments which have also contributed to a substantial role in the company’s success till now. Flat Roads are not for the Skillful People The company has overcome with a huge establishment in Bhuj, where the processing plant was placed right next to the quarry. The company has a Superconducting Cryogenic Magnetic Separator, which had been installed in 1998. During the Earthquake in 2001, many machines were badly destructed when the epicenter of the quake was few kilometers away from their massive plant at Bhuj. Cryogenic Magnetic Separator and few other machines were then sent back to Europe for repairs. As a result, the manufacturing department from the plant got hampered for months. That was a major challenge, 20 Microns faced at that time. Future Line of 20 Microns The customer’s future product expectation boosts the company’s Research and development along with the product development as well. Nano sizing and chemistry is the road ahead for 20 Microns Limited. Also from the last two years , our company is now targeting the Consumer business by launching its products for Waterproofing of any type of constructions. Our products were launched into the consumer domain starting with Vadodara and our products got good response and well accepted. Now the company is planning to market these construction chemicals to all Gujarat and then to PAN India level by creating Distribution networks. 20 Microns also does commendable CSR activities by conducting free checkup camps every week into several small towns and villages on a continuous basis to make people aware about DIABETES. The company also started venturing into Micronized Ayurvedic Supplements since last 3 years. The supplements are also getting good response and well accepted in the markets where it is launched. Here also the company wants to expand its network of distribution to PAN India level in the coming years. Our company is currently in advanced stage for a potential joint venture in Vietnam. Though we have offices in Malaysia and UAE, this Joint venture in a manufacturing plant of Micronized calcium carbonate will add more value to our company in terms of expanding our reach to more market share in growing economies. RajeshParikh CEO&ManagingDirector ‘‘ Since past four years, constant research and product development drive has led the company to a platform to overdrive the investments. With increase in fashion and demand for clothes, the ultimate result is increase in production of them! But, do you know what clothes are made of? Generally, textiles are made from animal (wool, silk), plant (cotton, flax, and jute), synthetic (nylon, polyester, acrylic) and mineral (asbestos, glass fibre). But during the making, it has to go through a process which does consist of addition of harmful elements making it dangerous for human body, life and environment. At face-value of making clothes Garments and textiles come from all over the universe, and travel down many hands so the manufacturing process and regulations aren’t known by the average shopper. Today, it’s common for numerous pieces of our closet to be made in third world countries – which can be pretty flexible with health code laws. In fact, there are up to 2,000 divergent chemicals in processing some fabrics – many of which are well-known to be the source of cancer. Contemporary technological elevation in the textile industry includes the evolution of textiles that are smarter, stronger and cutting-edge. “Cosmeto-textile” products (Hibbert, 2004), created through sub-micron nano-engineering and genetic manipulation can automatically counter temperature alterations, monitor our mood, administer medication, mimic functions and properties from the natural world and allegedly oblige with our well-being, but this leads to a question, how “healthy” are these textiles, and what of traditional textiles, such as cotton? Is there such a thing as a healthy fabric which does not have an impact either on the environment or humankind? Chemical finishes are often applied to a garment to give it various properties, such as shrink resistance, crease resistance, odour resistance, water- impermeable, anti-bacterial, anti- fungal, anti-static, permanent-press, softening agents, easy care treatments or flame and soil retardants, adding a further mixture of potentially harmful chemicals to the cocktail. Chemicals Intricated Your skin is the colossal organ of expulsion and absorption; what goes ON the skin goes IN the body; when toxins are ingested through your skin, they are consumed by the lymphatic system, then into the blood stream and eventually the liver, the chemical- processing plant of the body responsible for removing toxins. Alkylphenols Alkylphenol compounds include nonylphenols (NPs) and octylphenols and their ethoxylates, particularly nonylphenol ethoxylates. NPs are extensively used in the textiles industry in cleaning and dyeing procedures. They are toxic to aquatic life, stay in the environment and can gather in body tissue and biomagnify (increase in concentration through the food chain). Their correspondence to natural oestrogen hormones can distort sexual development in some organisms, most notably causing the feminisation of fish. Phthalates Phthalates are a set of chemicals most frequently used to soften PVC (the plastic polyvinyl chloride). In the textile industry they are used in artificial leather, rubber and PVC and in some dyes. There are considerable concern elements about the toxicity of phthalates such as DEHP (Bis(2-ethylhexyl) phthalate), which is reprotoxic in mammals, as it can interfere with development of the testes in premature life. The phthalates named, DEHP and DBP (Dibutyl phthalate) are classified as ‘toxic to reproduction' in Europe and their use is restricted. Brominated and chlorinated flame retardants Most of the brominated flame retardants (BFRs) are persistent, and the bioaccumulative chemicals that are now present throughout the environment. Polybrominated diphenyl ethers (PBDEs) are among the most popularcommon groups of BFRs and have been used to fireproof a wide variety of materials, including textiles. Few PBDEs are competent of mixing with the hormone systems involving the growth and sexual development. Under a law the use of some types of PBDE is tightly restricted and one PBDE has been listed as a ‘priority hazardous substance’ under European water law, which requires measures be taken to eliminate the pollution caused by BFRs on surface waters. Azo dyes Azo dyes are one of the main classifications of dye used by the textile industry. However, some of these dyes break down during the use and release chemicals known as aromatic amines, some of which can cause cancer. Organotin compounds Organotin compounds are used in biocides and as antifungal agents in a range of consumer products. Within the textile industry they are being used in materials such as socks, shoes and sport clothes to avert odour caused by the breakdown of sweat. One of the best-known organotin compounds is tributyltin (TBT). One of its primary uses was in antifouling, shipping painting, until evidence surfaced that it persists in the environment, builds up in the body and can have negative impact on immune and reproductive systems. Its use as an antifouling paint is now largely banned. TBT has also been used in textiles. Chlorobenzenes Chlorobenzenes are persistent and bioaccumulative chemicals that have been used as solvents and biocides, in the production of dyes and as chemical intermediaries. Hexachlorobenzene (HCB), the most toxic and persistent chemical of this group, is also a hormone disruptor. They are also recorded as ‘persistent organic pollutants’ for global restriction under the Stockholm Convention, and in line with this, they are programmed for depletion and eventual elimination in Europe. Chlorinated solvents Chlorinated solvents – such as trichloroethane (TCE) – are used by textile manufacturers to diffuse other substances during manufacturing and to immaculate fabrics. Heavy metals: cadmium, lead, mercury and chromium (VI) Heavy metals such as cadmium, lead and mercury, are being used in certain dyes and pigments used for textiles. These metals can cumulate in the body over time and are highly toxic, with irreversible effects including harm to the nervous system (lead and mercury) or the kidneys (cadmium). Cadmium is also known to cause cancer. Uses of chromium (VI), included in certain textile processes and leather tanning is highly toxic even at low concentrations, having negative impact to many aquatic organisms. TCE is an ozone-depleting substance that can linger in the environment. It is also known to strike the central nervous system, liver and kidneys. Chlorophenols Chlorophenols are a sort of chemicals used as biocides in anextensive range of applications, from pesticides to wood preservatives and textiles. Pentachlorophenol (PCP) and its sub- divisions are used as biocides in the textile industry. PCP is extremely toxic to humans and can influence many organs in the body. It is also highly toxic to aquatic organisms. Short-chain chlorinated paraffins Short-chain chlorinated paraffins (SCCPs)is used in textile industry as flame retardants and finishing agents for leather and textiles. They are extremelypoisonous to aquatic organisms, do not readily break down in the environment and have a high potential to cumulate in living organisms. Vigilance If you clean with common supermarket toxic detergents, then move to natural detergents. It will take a few washings to separate the residual toxic detergent ingredients completely. Read clothing labels and strive to elude synthetic materials such as Rayon, Nylon, Polyester, Acrylic, Acetate or Triacetate as much as possible. Also evade no-iron, wrinkle free and preshrunk items. Basically, try to use 100% pure cotton or hemp clothing if you see any. Wash and dry clothes comprising synthetic matter three times before wearing. Some folks add baking soda (not baking powder) to aid neutralization of new clothing chemicals while using natural detergents, of course. Also, spurn those dryer sheets that avert clinging unless you can find them without virulent chemicals. Do not use dry cleaners that use perchloroethylene, commonly known as PERC. There are even some that don’t. Find them or forget dry cleaning. Even used clothing purchased from thrift stores may be spattered with some chemical before they’re put up for sale. Wash and dry them at least once. Thus, we can conclude that clothes, that we do not consider as an important parameter of health is actually a primary need of health concern making it safe for HUMAN and OTHER LIVING CREATURES present in environment, thereby going GREEN. | SEPTEMBER 201720
  • 24. MitigatingRisk inFinancial Investment relatedtoaPatent LeadBusinesses ith start-up fever rising in India, there is also Wrise in improper investments. In other words, investment without proposer due-delegacy can be referred as bad investment. Basically, start-up can be broadly divided into two categories which we seen in perspective of Intellectual Property are 1. Services oriented start-up and 2. Technology based start-up. 1. Service oriented start-up generally have a unique business using existing technology, e.g.: Ola, Flipkart, Zomato, Mintra software companies and the like. In these kind of industries even if they have an innovate idea, these business models or the softwares cannot be protected under patent law/protection in India. Copyright can be filed but it gives very narrow protection. Therefore, you may see rise in companies with similar concept. E.g. Amazon-Flipkart- Snapdeal, Grofers-Bigbasket- BaniyaBabu-Amazon. These companies largely survive on aggressive marketing supported by good funding. Larger is the funding it’s easier to do business and pass on benefits to the customers and thereby creating a database of loyal customers, which even can be sold with the brand later on. 2. Technology based Start-ups generally have an innovative product, which can be protected under patent. A start-up requires production facility, marketing and sales team. As the product is protected by patent, it’s very difficult for any competitor to enter this market by making minor modifications. Patent gives a border protection, provided that it’s drafted at least correctly. Number of start-ups in these domain are very less. We can many companies which are presently large corporation but initially starts ups with IP savvy strategies like QUALCOMM, Agrima Infotech, Huawei, Lenovo and like. Innovative product can be protected under “Patent” and or “Design Registration”. Patent provides protection for the technology and “Design Registration” also referred as “Design Patent” for outer aesthetics. Under normal process 4-7 years are required for getting a grant for “Patent” and for getting Design registered/approved 03 months to 2year. Filing does not mean it is registered. After registration/grant, a certificate is issued and the status is accessible to all on ipindia.nic.in website only. Most of the first time investors invest in a company, which has filed a patent application. But, filing of a patent application is the first step, which does not guarantee grant or protection or monopoly in the defined jurisdiction. Anyone can file anything with the patent office and still an application number will be issued. Which is a very normal process. There is no restriction on filing of a patent application, but there are criteria for grant of the patent application. Before filing or after filing the patent application a patentability search will also reveal the possibility of grant. Normally, after filing a patent application, it’s published in the patent journal, giving an opportunity to any interested person/party to oppose the grant of the patent. In most of the case opposition (pre-grant oppositions) are not filed. Still the patent application is examined to check whether the invention that is applied for patent is patentable or not. Patentability Criteria: 1. Novelty – The invention should be new world wide, 2. Invention Step – even if the invention is new, it should not be obvious modification (E.g.: new application of the known machine, | SEPTEMBER 201722 CXO Standpoint
  • 25. composition etc., mere change in material, replacing one technology with other know technology and the like) 3. Industrial application. Examiners do a thorough search to find relevant citations for negating grant of the patent application based on the write-up submitted to the patent office and then try to negate the patent based on inventive step with combination of documents. This sent as an examination report. Thereafter, a hearing may be called for resolving any pending queries and thereafter the patent application is granted. After grant, one can file patent infringement cases and claim retrospective damages if any. Even if the patent is granted there may be a possibility, that the invention (a portion) may be infringing a live patent. Which may cause major financial problem. This search is generally referred as Freedom to Operate (FTO) search in general done by patent professionals. At last valuation of the patent should be done before doing any transaction. Thereafter, it would be good to go ahead with any contracts and financial transactions. Therefore, before investing into any patent application, it would be recommended to check the quality of the draft, patentability, infringement, and then decided to make the investment. Additionally, valuation will give approximate estimation of expected profits. Suneet Sabale Founder & CEO Brainiac IP Solutions 23SEPTEMBER 2017 |

In those circumstances establishing a Specialty Chemicals company was amongst a rare sector to venture into. The Specialty Chemicals are sensitive while storing as well as while using. The Company needed chemical engineers and other work force which is well versed with the nature and handling of the products which was a difficult challenge in the initial years. Industry scenario Since the chemicals are not used by the end customers but by the intermediaries like gas treating, pharmaceuticals, natural gas, cosmetics etc., chemicals mostly have a stable demand supply pattern and is not much disturbed by temporary factors in the market. Treating effluents in a better way With the growing awareness of turning waste to wealth, APL has also contributed with its own effluent treatment plant and can boast of a ‘zero’ effluent plant. The water generated through its effluent plant is used back for gardening and other purpose. Exploring unexplored market Amines & Plasticizers has developed and further developing certain value added chemicals to be used in the manufacturing of electronic compounds thereby giving an opportunity to an unexplored market. The initial trials of the product has found great success world-wide. ‘‘ At APL, where growth maintaining service and quality are a way of life, we constantly look forward to expanding our operations, both within India and abroad with suitable two way transfer of technology and product HemantKumarRuia Chairman&MD Chemical Manufacturer Companies Chemical 10 25SEPTEMBER 2017 |
  • 28. Fraternization of Technology and AgricultureAgriculture I th st n the second half of the 20 century and at the beginning of the 21 century, a technological revolution in farming led by advances in sensing and robotics technologies looks set to disrupt traditional farming. This technology changes forever the way farmers work. Performance of agriculture and modern farms technics work far differently than those a few decades ago, because of advancements in technology, including sensors, devices, machines and information technology. Today’s agriculture prefers to use advanced technologies such as robots, temperature indicators and moisture sensors and GPS technology. These advanced technologies and robotic systems allow businesses to be more profitable, effective, and secure and environmentally friendly. Background of the Agriculture Sector The first twin-rotor system combine was introduced in the year 1975. This system allowed to cut crop and separate in one side over the field. In 1994, a widely known scientist introduced satellite; it helped farmers to use this technology to see their farms from overhead and allowing them for better tracking and planning. Year 2000 was a technology revolution year; when people got to know about the use of mobile phone. Likely many people and farmers started using mobile phone which helps them to maintain communication and on the other hand it facilitated farmers to place orders for seeds, fertilizer and it provided information towards new techniques. The data revolution is helping people to take the right decision, and farmers are no exemption. New mobile applications are providing information about the variety of fertilizers, firming process and other resources which help farmers to get knowledge about farming. 2015 was the year when masses introduced with the digital platform that conveys info about data collection, agronomic modeling and local weather monitoring, which gives the idea to farmers about their fields. These tools allow farmers to plan for healthier crops and make firming strategy that is beneficial for the planet. Therefore in the current year, the major breakthrough happened in farming technology which breaks the all previous technics of farming. Some Breakthrough Technologies are - Use of Global Positioning System Mainly GPS technology pinpoints location through satellites. Just like previously tractors replaced draft horse on the farm, GPS technology also replaced eyeballing and guessing process in the farm. GPS can give farmers valuable information about which areas need fertilizer and which don't. This information can save money and ensure that only the areas that need to nutrients are getting it. GPS guided drones are performing tasks from crop spraying to livestock monitoring and creating 3D maps. The other technology is Sensor technology; Sensor technology is basically monitoring everything like soil water content, temperature, humidity in grain silos and information about plant health. Advantages of Smart Phone Now a day’s farmers are using advantages of the internet through their mobile phone. For the purpose to check current marker scenario, Firming related videos, agriculture news, new technologies, and invention. In the other hand, they can easily find out those applications which are specifically developed to help farmers. Not only this but also some mobile applications allow them to ask their quires to the experts and get an appropriate response. Harvesting with WIFI In the modern agriculture system, technology helping farmer’s to use the electronic sensor distributed process which helps them to find out different conditions; sometimes the gadgets send data to the farm server about the farm condition. This data gets analyzed automatically. Then instruction gets passed on to the farmer which includes an appropriate dose of fertilizer, delivering the right amount of water and finding the hole punched in crop rows. These data's are easily accessible by the farmer in tablet or smart phones, giving real time information. These advanced technologies can also monitor soil conditions | SEPTEMBER 201726 Tech Powered

Robotic Formation in Agriculture The self-driving cars one of the latest innovation in car manufacturing industry and impact of this innovation could also be witnessed in farming. Robots and self-driving tractors are becoming very common in farming. Which helping farmer to cut cost and time by automating time- consuming tasks done by humans. There are farming robots for picking strawberries and lettuce, harvesting oranges and pruning grapevines, for mowing hay etc. Many farmers still prefer using human- driven tractors while others are using highly customized and automated tractors attached to sensors and robots. That can perform highly specific tasks, such as detecting where cows have peed and treated the affected grass to stimulate regrowth. Usually, these robots are guided by highly precise GPS tracking that allows them to nimbly navigate through the narrow spaces between crop rows. Indoor Farming According to research, Vertical farming or indoor farming is gaining popularity because the farms optimize land use in land-scarce and it can operate on minimal manpower. This technic helps growers of to produce year-round including specialty crops regardless of outdoor weather conditions. But this is not as easy as indoor farming since it is very challenging to produce an ideal sunlight that optimizes growth in cramped indoor spaces. Full-spectrum fluorescent and energy-intensive technologies provide required lights in indoor farming which is very expensive. But innovations of light-emitting diodes (LEDs) in recent years have provided a cheaper and better alternative. LED has also reduced the growing time compare to the traditional lighting technology because farmers can use different configurations to maximize the wavelengths of light certain plants prefer. Hooking LEDs to timers allows indoor farmers to maximize the ratio of light to dark that can speed up the growing process. For example, certain combinations of red and blue LEDs can reduce the amount of time it takes to grow a head of lettuce indoors by up to 17 days. The Agriculture sector is the essential sector for any countries, as a stable agricultural sector can ensure food security of a nation. It can generate employment and also contributes on countries economic growth. Technology is a magic touch in farming which can help a country to makes drastic changes in this growing sector. In the past, farmers worked hard for farming seeds but now scientist and developers introduced new technology which can reduce farmer work and make them smart and contribute to country’s economic growth. “Agriculture looks different today - our farmers are using GPS and you can monitor your irrigation systems over the Internet,” – Debbie Stabenow 27SEPTEMBER 2017 |

In a few minutes a cheerful person in mid-forties showed up and opened up the trunk to put my cabin bag over and looked over at my backpack and said “Nice bag, sir!” Appreciating my fully stuffed overnighter ready Tumi laptop backpack. “Where are you coming from, Sir?” Being the conversationalist, I went “Thank you. I am coming from Pune. Where are you from?” He goes “I am from Assam, sir” as he turned on the car and started the ride on his uber app. I observed him navigate through the traffic and as we rode along, I learnt a lot about how this Assamese driver with no formal education moved to Bengaluru in his early forties and learned a new language & culture (he spoke broken Kannada at the toll booth) and how to use a smartphone and this App and figured out a way he can earn livelihood. As I chatted with my new Assamese friend for a few minutes on the post demonetised economy and its impact (which BTW is my current favourite topic for cab driver conversation), I could see the change that this guy with almost no education embraced in the last 3 years - language, culture, distance migration into a new state, learnt new technology & embraced a new business model of shared cab services, battled with taxi unions and figured out a way to co-exist - A mammoth change for a security guy turned entrepreneur driver. I wondered whether this super senior IT leader, I am meeting at Flipkart today might be ready for this much change? He was. As I discovered later. And driving change management after the decision & purchase, battling status quo as the new senior executives join in the finance department (with the dinosaur age experience and the mere nature of their profession, they definitely carry a lot of weight) and go “But, I could do this on my excel spreadsheet and this cloud version does not carry that exact button. And I don't have time for this as I need to prepare this budget that needs to go to the Chairman tomorrow.” First thought that comes to mind is to point them to my dear new friend - “The Change Superman” - Assamese driver in Bengaluru. BTW: We have internalized a concept for this at Searce, “finding the same old buttons in the new car”. And ‘finding this buttons business’ becomes especially challenging when you just moved them into a Tesla. And when the Finance department (or for that matter Operations, Sales etc.) insists on putting petrol in the charging inlet of your Tesla S, we need strong change advocates in the top management to put their foot down and say, “get used to the buttonless car, dude! or go drive your ford on uber or ola.” But my Assamese friend crush them there too. He's definitely more change ready. This is the single-most driver for success in today’s businesses - Is the CEO or leader or the board (depending on the size of the company) going to make the change or become the change? While leading the digital transformation journey through cloud, automation & analytics for 1200+ businesses, our experience has been counter intuitive Just like my friend ‘The Change Superman’ - the normal tech laggards in traditional industries like manufacturing, retail and logistics have been more “ongoing change ready” than some of the large tech/IT/ITES/e-commerce companies - given the depth of baggage they carry at times. If you are an entrepreneur or wannabe entrepreneur starting now - It is super exciting times to help futurify businesses. Advancements in cloud and automation technologies are changing the industry landscape for good. Conversations have shifted from ‘Why cloud?’ to ‘How can I best move to cloud?’. Gartner predicts that by 2020 anything other than a cloud- only strategy for new IT initiatives will require justification at more than 30% of large-enterprise organizations. It is also highly likely that by 2025, 80% of organizations will move their processes to cloud. Rest won’t exist! For businesses to stay relevant in such a rapidly changing environment, adaptability to new age technologies remains the key. As an entrepreneur, if you are not asking ‘How is my business being changed by digital technology and How do I adapt?’, a non-competitor might soon be emerging around the corner with a tech-led disruption. Don’t get blind-sided. Digital Transformation is forcing us to plan for a radical, long term evolution in the ways we interact with our customers and employees. Visionary C-level leaders are not just riding the cloud and automation wave but are using it as an opportunity to fundamentally disrupt their own business models before someone else does. Digital transformation not only requires strong leadership to drive change, but it also requires a clear vision for what parts of the company need to transform and how soon. Helping leaders in defining and executing this vision is where Searce continues to play a strong catalytic role. As we work with businesses and help them futurify (stay relevant for future), we constantly challenge ourselves and our partners to get out of the ‘comfort zone’ and to ‘think beyond’. While driving digital transformation, our consultants continually experiment with new age technology and help business discover what to improve, where to innovate and how to transform. Transforming Work & Operations by digitizing processes and enhancing employee collaboration, Transforming Culture & People Processes by having democratic more social way of doing things, Transforming Customer Experience using customer analytics & Transforming Business Models by digitally modifying existing businesses remain the main foundations for driving a successful Digital Transformation strategy. A useful and unique idea can make a huge difference in the profit of the business. It can easily attract right kinds of funding in easier and cheaper ways. This is how it secures the position of the organization in the future. And that’s how a big idea makes an organization more profitable, more visible, and more attractive in a low cost. Individual benefit vs corporate benefit Spending time with employees’ side-by-side and understanding how they work and explaining to them about new technologies and strategies can create positive impact their lives at work. A good employee can always develop their skills by the training program in their company. It is not just about implementing the right policies or hiring the right people, but also providing new insights on how employee training and development are conducted in other companies and organizations and how to go about achieving the employee development goals. This is not only beneficial for the employee’s career growth but would also ensure that the company’s services are on the right hands. Proper training helps to develop the talents of their staffs and also easily harness the future of the market. This helps to expose the employee to various experts in the field with different perspectives and opinions with regards to employee engagement and also better understand the company’s needs and objectives. Collaboration brings out new ideas of other organizations Today, the biggest breakthroughs happen when people with a collective vision join together and share ideas, information, and work. Most top CEOs don’t do all the work themselves. Their success as an individual has now put them in a position where they are able to hire others who can work together to accomplish a single goal. Collaboration is the key element for businesses embarking on the “good to great” journey. This entails more than just people working together; but the entire process comes under one shelter. Creative collaboration encourages new idea and services of other expertise to join forces with the existing brand and set the foundation for innovation and success. This also includes learning to coach and the potential to inspire and motivate to form a strong team or foundation. Change is the daily attire of any Business As societies continue to evolve and changing demand creates the need for new products and services, businesses often are forced to make changes to stay competitive. The businesses that continue to survive and even thrive are usually the ones that most readily adapt to change. • 39. economy market trending with new ideas and technology forces a business to reevaluate its methods of operation. Factors like the entrance of a new competitor into a market, innovations in technology, desire to growth, need to improve processes and government regulation can cause a business to change its planning and strategy. Constant change is essential—as it’s the only way to adapt quickly with the market change. A leader can only led to a successful organization An organization is never known without its founder. He is the thinker behind the thought. Leadership has to start at the top but it isn’t great unless it spreads throughout the organization. The most successful companies recognize effective leaders and harness them to maximize results. Anybody who has ever watched interviews with managers or coaches of professional sports teams will have heard plenty of discussion of the need for leaders throughout the team. A leader should encourage teamwork and inspire others to perform. Companies demands from the leaders for global fluency and flexibility, building the ability to innovate and acquiring new levels of understanding of rapidly changing technologies and new disciplines and fields. A team leader should aim to build a star team and not a team of stars. An entrepreneur as a leader can drive the whole organization together to change the vision into a reality. The support and guidance to their employees can bring out new innovations and help them to achieve it. “It’s not about ideas. It’s about making ideas happen.” – Scott Belsky 37SEPTEMBER 2017 |
