There are three pillars of Sustainable Development
Economic development,
Social development, and
Environmental protection.
These pillars are Interdependent and mutually reinforcing. If there comes any breakththrough of these pillars, Sustainable development can not be fulfilled properly. So, It may be a weaken side of it.

How Integration of Systems Will Bring Concrete Benefits to the Earth and to M...Stephen Lee
Presentation made to the Hong Kong Bio- and Eco-Energy Industry Assocation, Dec 14, 2011. The world is at an uncertain divide, with the East on the rise and the West on the decline. Excesses of capitalism, and escalating costs of social benefits brought imbalances to the world, potentially pitching the young generation against the old. Will the vision of a green planet be shattered because it is unaffordable and too much of an economic burden on mankind? It is more imperative than ever that efforts to clean up the planet be based on the idea of integrating, automating and optimizing past systems which were operated in isolation from one another. New and concrete benefits will be turned up by innovative ways to explore synergistic relationships among proximate systems and to optimize their joint operation. An example can be found in bringing together systems of waste treatment, electricity production, and steam or heat production. However, real benefits must exceed real costs before the world will remain committed to the path of a green planet.

Today, 2014’s 30 piece optimistic puzzle is on stage. The Storyteller of Future Global has made a bet with himself on his own very character. The summary below of what is well going on in the world is a challenge for him to prove… he is connected; always learning; fully aware; and super present; to also prove he is shifting from The Storyteller of Future to The Storyteller of Now, but always global on this unprecedented, particular, and unrepeatable - thus unique, planet. Cyclic open innovation framework with big data of citiesHELENA LEE
Many believe that “big data” will transform business, government, and other aspects of
the economy. But there is little framework or formulation for application of big data in
realization to apply to innovation framework. In this article we discuss how big data takes
the role to explain impact of open innovation with cities and suggest specific framework
for open innovation of cities. Also we outline some of the challenges in accessing and
making use of this framework.

Which Innovation Framework do you use, the 10 types of innovation or the busi...Heather McQuaid
Which innovation framework, the 10 types of innovation or the business model canvas, is more useful in helping people realise that 'innovation' isn't just about a product (or service)? I was surprised that no one had published (or at least made freely available) a comparison of the 10 types of innovation and the 9 building blocks of the business model canvas. So I attempted a mapping and here's what I found.
Slides from a recent speech in front of 1500 people on:
- Why business model innovation is important
- What a business model is
- How to design and implement innovative business models using a design thinking approach.
Many cases illustrate how to do it in practice.
I was invited to Melbourne, Australia, to give a talk to business people on the topic of business models.

This study was conducted in order to explore alternatives to the catastrophization of the future that freezes people and to identify in other disciplines (medicine, road safety, positive psychology, etc.) new positive levers that could be activated to effect mass-scale sustainable change in lifestyles, consumption, etc. The study was conducted in partnership with IKEA France, ADEME (the national Environmental Protection Agency) and ILEC/Prodimarques (an organization gathering brand manufacturers in food, drink, home and personal care) by the French Observatory specialised in responsible consumption "Mes Courses pour la Planète" (litterally "Shopping for a Better World").
Many experts were interviewed in the frame of this study including : Tal Ben-Shahar, Sally Uren (Forum for the Future), Solitaire Townsend (Futerra).
Covid-19 has changed the course of
history. What started off as a flu-like
illness in one person in one corner
of the world, has changed the lives,
livelihoods and futures of billions.
Australia saw its first case on January
25 and now has over 6,600 cases,
the country is in partial lockdown,
schools and universities have left their
campuses, hundreds of thousands of
jobs have been lost. Fortunately, the
tide appears to be turning and we can
start thinking of Recovery.
To chart a Roadmap to Recovery we
convened a group of over a hundred of
the country’s leading epidemiologists,
infectious disease consultants,
public health specialists, healthcare
professionals, mental health and
well-being practitioners, indigenous
scholars, communications and
behaviour change experts, ethicists,
philosophers, political scientists,
economists and business scholars
from the Group of Eight (Go8)
universities. The group developed
this Roadmap in less than three
weeks, through remote meetings
and a special collaborative reasoning
platform, in the context of a rapidly
changing pandemic,

Understanding User Needs and Satisfying ThemAggregage
https://www.productmanagementtoday.com/frs/26903918/understanding-user-needs-and-satisfying-them
We know we want to create products which our customers find to be valuable. Whether we label it as customer-centric or product-led depends on how long we've been doing product management. There are three challenges we face when doing this. The obvious challenge is figuring out what our users need; the non-obvious challenges are in creating a shared understanding of those needs and in sensing if what we're doing is meeting those needs.
In this webinar, we won't focus on the research methods for discovering user-needs. We will focus on synthesis of the needs we discover, communication and alignment tools, and how we operationalize addressing those needs.
Industry expert Scott Sehlhorst will:
• Introduce a taxonomy for user goals with real world examples
• Present the Onion Diagram, a tool for contextualizing task-level goals
• Illustrate how customer journey maps capture activity-level and task-level goals
• Demonstrate the best approach to selection and prioritization of user-goals to address
• Highlight the crucial benchmarks, observable changes, in ensuring fulfillment of customer needs

3. Health & Wellbeing: direct & indirect influence Individual health & wellbeing are deeply interlinked with Societal & Environmental health and wellbeing. Environmental and Societal health and wellbeing are out of balance almost everywhere, impacting people’s Individual health and wellbeing. If we want to enhance people’s health & wellbeing, we need to distinguish between aspects that people have direct influence on and aspects on which individuals can only have indirect influence , such as the impact of external influences on their health & wellbeing.
4. Sustainable Development: transformation, a paradigm shift Ecological footprint per human Human Development Index High HDI for everyone Footprint for 1-planet living In the current, unsustainable paradigm, high levels of human development (quality of life) are accompanied by a high ecological footprint. The challenge is: How are we going to increase people’s quality of life while staying in the limits of our ecosystem capacity? This requires a transformation, a paradigm shift from the current unsustainable production & consumption paradigm towards a new paradigm. Source: WWF Living Planet Report 2006
