Leiomyosarcoma is an aggressive soft tissue sarcoma that arises from smooth muscle cells. It accounts for 10-20% of all soft tissue sarcoma cases. Treatment options may include chemotherapy, surgery to remove the tumor, targeted drug inhibitors, and radiation therapy.
