The Centro InterculturaCidade (Lisbon Intercultural Centre) is located in Poço dos Negros, a neighborhood with a large Cape Verdean community in Portugal. It opened in 2004 with EU funding to promote cultural diversity and intercultural citizenship. In 2010 it became an independent association created by one of the original partners and members of different migrant communities in the neighborhood. The center hosts community spaces, workshops, seminars, and outdoor cultural events to bring together people from the diverse communities in the local area.

Centro InterculturaCidade (Lisbon Intercultural Centre) is
located in Poço dos Negros (central Lisbon), a reference
neighbourhood of the Cape-Verdean migrant community
in Portugal.
It opened its doors in May 2004 in the framework of a
project funded by the EU through the Equal Initiative and
was developed till 2008 by a partnership of local
authorities, trade unions, universities and Ngos .
In 2010 the Centre was established as an independent
association created jointly by one of its initial partners
(the Ngo ETNIA) and members of different migrant
communities living and working in that neighbourhood.
