Students at Nanhe Shikshak Mother Theresa school taught manners to local shopkeepers and auto rickshaw drivers who were not speaking politely. The students made leaflets with messages of "sorry" and "thank you" and visited 25 shops and 6 drivers. They explained the importance of courtesy and gratitude. As a result, the shopkeepers now treat customers, including children, with more respect. The students feel proud that they impacted positive change in their community at a young age.

2. The behaviour of the near by shopkeepers and auto rickshaw drivers and taught them respect and humility.

3. The way they spoke when we used to go to them to get their services was not humble. They did not talk nicely with old people too.

5. The students made leaflets and pamphlets with the quotes of “sorry” and “thank you”. They divided themselves into teams of 6 and each team took care of 2-3 shops each.

7. They went and said, “thank you .”The shopkeeper replied back with the question," why?”.They told him that they were thankful to him because he had provided them a lot of things to buy and similarly he should also not hesitate to say “thank you” to others and “sorry” ,if he commits a mistake by chance .Then ,they gave him the leaflets made by them and requested him to teach others also.

8. They covered nearly 25 main shops of the area and taught 6 autorickshaw drivers at the auto stand.

9. The behaviour of the shopkeepers is very good now and they don’t neglect small kids if they come to buy something .Specially the students who were a part of this, feel very happy about the change. They now believe that values are very important in life and even they can change something at this age.
