GREEN LOCALITY
                      (SHOBUJ PARA)
            from Loreto Day School Sealdah,Kolkata

Change makers: Ipshita Das, Alokananda Guha, Tanushree Chakraborty,
Srijita Ghosh, Rituparna Chakraborty, and Alakananda Kar.

Mentor teachers: Ms.Gomes, Ms.N.Bir and Ms.R.Ghosh.

Step 1: FEEL
   • Number of trees in cities is less compared to villages.
   • Life is in danger
   • Less number of birds and butterflies eg: complete depletion
     of sparrows.
   • Consequences of global warming which is a frightening
     reality.

Step 2: IMAGINE
   • Greenery adds beauty to the world.
   • Planned to select a particular area to plant saplings.
   • Create awareness among the residents of the area through our
     work of planting and also by posters.
   • Combat global warming in our own little ways.


Step 3: DO
• Made colourful posters with slogans.
  • Spoke to the residents of the area.
  • Collected saplings from school friends who have gardens at
    home.
  • Planted the saplings.
  • Distributed saplings among the residents of the area.

Step 4: SHARE
   • Recorded each step of our plan in a file.
   • Took some photographs of us working.
   • Text and illustrative document, Posters and photographs.

          While doing this project we enjoyed ourselves and also
          learned quite a lot of things. Our locality was looking
          beautiful with all the greenery. This inspired many
          residents to have potted plants in their homes.
