3. Dirty Map
• Organized a group of students to go
through the village taking pictures of
the most littered places in our
community
• Created a map of our village and
posted the pictures to the map
• Posted the map around the village for
community members to see and get
involved in cleaning events
• Discussed the issue with the village
head and the steps he can take to
help keep our village clean
5. Ecological Footprint Seminar
• Trainer from Rivne Environmental
NGO taught us about our
environmental footprint and to help
us calculate our individual footprint

• About 30 students from three other
schools from the surrounding villages
also attended upon invitation

presentation about how
plastic is harmful to the Earth

the dangers of plastic and

in old clothes to be recycled
into bags

Editor's Notes
Due to a lack of knowledge and exposure most of the people in our village are unaware of their personal impact on the environment and generally do not pay attention to the human affect on the Earth.
Learned how to organize a long-term project
Introduced our school to a new and interesting theme
Showed our village that we can make a difference
Taught our school to participate in the global community
Changed the outlook of our citizens to look at the world with a more global perspective
