INTRODUCTION
Introduction to Internet:
Internet is a global collection of computer, which is lined together by cables and telephone
lines making communication possible among them in a common language. Internet connects to
whole world with each other with network. Through net LAN and WAN both can be established.
Internet mail server and information is used for making common new group we can design an
Internet site without help of Internet.
The Internet is a growing network established in 1960‘ s in USA. Many people have helped
in the devtlopment of Internet. The initial phase began way back in the fiftys. In order to regain the
space supremacy from USSR the US government created an agency called ARPA ( Advanced
Research Projects Agency), with J.C.R. likekier as the head of the computer department.
HTML:-
When you interlink a large number of pages of text on different computers all over the world.
You gets spider web like system of link and pages. This is known as the world wide web (WWW). A
system where by pages stored on mainly different web severs, connected to the Internet is linked
together.
This system is useful because all of the pages are created in the same format. This
Or language is called HTML (Hyper Text Mark Up Language), a subset of an international standard
for electronic document exchanged called SGML (Standard Generalized Mark Up Language.)
DHTML: -
DHTML means dynamic mark up language. Dynamic HTML is a the way to add
Movement to page without compromising loading speed. Front page allows us to add DHTML
features to elements in our pages. We can animate an entire page
ABODE PHOTOSHOPE: -
It is graphic software designed by Coral Corporation of canada. It gives us more facilities to
create any type of graphics and its helps to modify them.
JAVA SCRIPT: -
9
Java Script is a lightweight interpretive programming language with object-oriented
capabilities. The general-purpose core of the language has been embeddet in Netscape navigator.
Internet explorer and other web browser. For and embellished for web programming with the
addition of windows and its contents.
Front Page: -
The front page express follows you to create revise and manage an entire web as well as
write, edit and format individual web pages,we`ll look hyperlink and HTML view.
Introduction to Browser: -
Browser is the software, which allows us to esily display web pages and navigator the web.
Ther are many flavors of web browser, but they can be grouped into two basic cateories Text
only and graphical.
A text only browser such as linux allows you to vigit web pages with out showing art or page
structure. Essentially you look at ASCII text on the screen. The advanteage of a text only browser is
thet it displays web pages very fast. The reason for fast display is thet it need not transfer images,
voice and other media that occupy large amount of money.
If we want to display the complete web page along with multimedia, we must a graphical
browser such as netscape navigator or IE.
Graphical browser can so pictures, play sounds, and even run video clips. The advanteges are
thet the text only counters parts and this waiting time can be striated even further with slow
connections of heavy online traffic.
The Web Explodes: -
So it was not one single event that led to the web taking of in such a dramatic way, but several
related events including.
 The easy availability of Internet connections.
 The removal of restracsions to commerscial devlopment of the Internet.
 Access to powerful graphical browsers such as mosaic and netscap.
 The adoption of several important standards.
All thes elements combined to fule the web explosion during the last years
10
The growth in registred commercial names on the last year the growth in registered commercial
names on the Internet as increases in excess of 500%, which taken on a daily
bases means that hundreds of new sites are being added every day.and this figure does not take
into account those small business that rent space on third party Web severs because you don’t have
registered sites with any supervising authoring.
Doing Business On the Web: -
The priorities facing business leaders today are the perennial challenges of reducing costs and
time to market increasing profitability and market in increasing profitability and market share, and
being recognized as the leader in what is becoming a global market place. Many Corporation are
turning to the web to increase their presence and visibility in todays market place; after all the web is
accessible from well over 100 countries.
Internet Or Intranet: -
All this emphasis on the Internet WWW. And the availability of free (or almost free) Web
browser has led some computer atolls in the corporate world to take at their internal network in a
new light.
The question asked most often is, how can we benefit from this explosion and tools
and stsndeard? Which is followed very quickly by, what happens if we implement WWW standards
in our departments even on our network?
The answer is an Internet an company network that uses the web standards on HTML
and HTTP and the TCP/IP communication protocols with graphical web browser to support real
business applications the and provide departmental interdepartmental.
Benefit Of an Internet Solution: -
Following are some benefit to having an Internet solution on the World Wide Web
 Any organization or individual can have a global audience to market produce and services.
 Small star up companies as the same access to customers as larger more established
competitors.
 Users have round the clock accessibility to information.
 Information can be update quickly and at a very low cost.
 Employees need little training’s to find information.
11
 Multiple data types. Such as text, audio and video, can be shared among groups.
Internet Limitations: -
Although an internal solution provides many benefits in organizations there are some limiting
factors consider specially regarding network security.
 As a stand –alone network without any outside access to the Internet.
 As a network with outside access to the Internet for its user but shielded form external
internal access.
The Internet Security: -
A few years ago security wasn’t a major concern for most sites connected to the Internet.
There were mostly educational and research based such as universities, libraries etc. Where access
was mostly through are user ID & a password, and many still allows anonymous users to access
their sites with any valid user ID & password.
TCP/IP AN Introduction: -
TCP/IP stands for transmission control protocols Internet protocols essentially; it is a set of
two-communication protocol that an application can use to package its information’s for sending
across a network or networks. This is basically the protocal that is used to over the Internet.
IP Addressing: -
One of the most important topics in any discussion of TCP/IP is IP address is a numeric
identifier assigned to each machine on an IP design the location for the device it is assigned to on the
network, this type of address is software address, not a hardware address which is hard coded in the
machine or network interface card.
An IP address in made up of 32bits of information. These bits divided into four
seconds containing 4bytes each. These sections are referred to as octets. There are three methods for
depicting an IP Address.

The Gateway of India was assembled to commemorate the visit of Queen
Mary and King George V to Mumbai, prior to the Delhi Durbar, in
December 1911. However, since the building didn’t commence till 1915
they only got to see only a cardboard model of the structure. The
foundation stone was laid on 31 March 1911, by the governor of Bombay
18
Sir George Sydenham Clarke, with the last layout of George Wittet March
1913 sanctioned on 31. The gateway was assembled from concrete and
basalt. The foundations were completed in 1920, and building was
concluded in 1924.
The central dome is (25 meters) above the earth at feet 48 feet (15
meters) in diameter and 83 its highest point. The entire harbour front was
realigned in order to come in-line with a planned esplanade which would
sweep down to the center of the town. On each side of the arch, there are
large halls that can hold 600 individuals. The price of the building was 21
lakh (US$38,000), borne chiefly from the Government of India. For lack of
funds, the approach road was never constructed, and thus the gateway
stands at an angle for the road before it
The architect George Wittet joined the elements of the Roman triumphal
arch and the 16th century architecture of Gujarat. Its layout is a blend of
Hindu and Muslim architectural styles; the arch is of Muslim style as the
ornaments are of Hindu style. The gateway is reinforced concrete and
assembled from basalt. The stone was locally obtained, and the
perforated screens were brought from Gwalior. The gateway faces out to
Mumbai Harbour from the point of Apollo Bunder.
It’s the location where the governors and viceroys used to land upon their
arrival in India.
Observed here is the bunch, which includes local and international
tourists, local photographers with the monument in the backdrop. The
statue was unveiled on 26 January 1961 on the function of India’s
Republic Day. Another statue in the region is that of Swami Vivekananda.

A world Heritage Site – Mugal Emperor Akbar built the city in second half
of the 16th century. The capital city was also the seat of the Mugal court.
All this continued in the city for just 14 years after that they had moved
their capital to Lahore due scarcity of water & political unrest.
The great architect included the largest mosques in India, the Jama
Masjid, the Tomb of Salim Chishti , Panch Mahal, and Buland Darwaza
giving a position in the list of world heritage site & historical places in
India.

Bodh Gaya is the holiest of Buddhist destinations and a World Heritage
Site. It was here, under a pipal, or bodhi tree, that Siddhartha Gotama
attained enlightenment and became the Buddha. A simple shrine was
built by the emperor Ashoka (3rd century BCE) to mark the spot, later
enclosed by a stone railing (1st century BCE), part of which still remains.
The uprights have representations of the Vedic gods Indra and Surya, and
the railing medallions include carvings of imaginary beasts. This shrine
was replaced in the Kushan period (2nd cent. CE) by the present
Mahabodhi temple, which was refurbished in the Pala-Sena period (750-
1200), heavily restored by Sir Alexander Cunningham in the second half of
the 19th century, and finally restored by Myanmar (Burmese) Buddhists in
1882. The bodhi tree behind the temple is believed to be a descendant of
the original. [Adapted from Encyclopedia Britannica; July 06]

Konark is also known as Konaditya. The name Konark is derived form the
words Kona - Corner and Arka - Sun; it is situated on the north eastern
corner of Puri or the Chakrakshetra. Konark is also known as
Arkakshetra.<br>
This temple built in 1278 CE by the Ganga King Narasimha Deva is one
of the grandest temples of India and was referred to as the Black Pagoda.
The ruins of this temple were excavated in late 19th century. <br>The
tower over the Garbagriha is missing, however the Jagmohana is intact,
and even in this state, it is awe inspiring.

  • 8. 8 INTRODUCTION Introduction to Internet: Internet is a global collection of computer, which is lined together by cables and telephone lines making communication possible among them in a common language. Internet connects to whole world with each other with network. Through net LAN and WAN both can be established. Internet mail server and information is used for making common new group we can design an Internet site without help of Internet. The Internet is a growing network established in 1960‘ s in USA. Many people have helped in the devtlopment of Internet. The initial phase began way back in the fiftys. In order to regain the space supremacy from USSR the US government created an agency called ARPA ( Advanced Research Projects Agency), with J.C.R. likekier as the head of the computer department. HTML:- When you interlink a large number of pages of text on different computers all over the world. You gets spider web like system of link and pages. This is known as the world wide web (WWW). A system where by pages stored on mainly different web severs, connected to the Internet is linked together. This system is useful because all of the pages are created in the same format. This Or language is called HTML (Hyper Text Mark Up Language), a subset of an international standard for electronic document exchanged called SGML (Standard Generalized Mark Up Language.) DHTML: - DHTML means dynamic mark up language. Dynamic HTML is a the way to add Movement to page without compromising loading speed. Front page allows us to add DHTML features to elements in our pages. We can animate an entire page ABODE PHOTOSHOPE: - It is graphic software designed by Coral Corporation of canada. It gives us more facilities to create any type of graphics and its helps to modify them. JAVA SCRIPT: -
  • 9. 9 Java Script is a lightweight interpretive programming language with object-oriented capabilities. The general-purpose core of the language has been embeddet in Netscape navigator. Internet explorer and other web browser. For and embellished for web programming with the addition of windows and its contents. Front Page: - The front page express follows you to create revise and manage an entire web as well as write, edit and format individual web pages,we`ll look hyperlink and HTML view. Introduction to Browser: - Browser is the software, which allows us to esily display web pages and navigator the web. Ther are many flavors of web browser, but they can be grouped into two basic cateories Text only and graphical. A text only browser such as linux allows you to vigit web pages with out showing art or page structure. Essentially you look at ASCII text on the screen. The advanteage of a text only browser is thet it displays web pages very fast. The reason for fast display is thet it need not transfer images, voice and other media that occupy large amount of money. If we want to display the complete web page along with multimedia, we must a graphical browser such as netscape navigator or IE. Graphical browser can so pictures, play sounds, and even run video clips. The advanteges are thet the text only counters parts and this waiting time can be striated even further with slow connections of heavy online traffic. The Web Explodes: - So it was not one single event that led to the web taking of in such a dramatic way, but several related events including.  The easy availability of Internet connections.  The removal of restracsions to commerscial devlopment of the Internet.  Access to powerful graphical browsers such as mosaic and netscap.  The adoption of several important standards. All thes elements combined to fule the web explosion during the last years
  • 10. 10 The growth in registred commercial names on the last year the growth in registered commercial names on the Internet as increases in excess of 500%, which taken on a daily bases means that hundreds of new sites are being added every day.and this figure does not take into account those small business that rent space on third party Web severs because you don’t have registered sites with any supervising authoring. Doing Business On the Web: - The priorities facing business leaders today are the perennial challenges of reducing costs and time to market increasing profitability and market in increasing profitability and market share, and being recognized as the leader in what is becoming a global market place. Many Corporation are turning to the web to increase their presence and visibility in todays market place; after all the web is accessible from well over 100 countries. Internet Or Intranet: - All this emphasis on the Internet WWW. And the availability of free (or almost free) Web browser has led some computer atolls in the corporate world to take at their internal network in a new light. The question asked most often is, how can we benefit from this explosion and tools and stsndeard? Which is followed very quickly by, what happens if we implement WWW standards in our departments even on our network? The answer is an Internet an company network that uses the web standards on HTML and HTTP and the TCP/IP communication protocols with graphical web browser to support real business applications the and provide departmental interdepartmental. Benefit Of an Internet Solution: - Following are some benefit to having an Internet solution on the World Wide Web  Any organization or individual can have a global audience to market produce and services.  Small star up companies as the same access to customers as larger more established competitors.  Users have round the clock accessibility to information.  Information can be update quickly and at a very low cost.  Employees need little training’s to find information.
  • 11. 11  Multiple data types. Such as text, audio and video, can be shared among groups. Internet Limitations: - Although an internal solution provides many benefits in organizations there are some limiting factors consider specially regarding network security.  As a stand –alone network without any outside access to the Internet.  As a network with outside access to the Internet for its user but shielded form external internal access. The Internet Security: - A few years ago security wasn’t a major concern for most sites connected to the Internet. There were mostly educational and research based such as universities, libraries etc. Where access was mostly through are user ID & a password, and many still allows anonymous users to access their sites with any valid user ID & password. TCP/IP AN Introduction: - TCP/IP stands for transmission control protocols Internet protocols essentially; it is a set of two-communication protocol that an application can use to package its information’s for sending across a network or networks. This is basically the protocal that is used to over the Internet. IP Addressing: - One of the most important topics in any discussion of TCP/IP is IP address is a numeric identifier assigned to each machine on an IP design the location for the device it is assigned to on the network, this type of address is software address, not a hardware address which is hard coded in the machine or network interface card. An IP address in made up of 32bits of information. These bits divided into four seconds containing 4bytes each. These sections are referred to as octets. There are three methods for depicting an IP Address.

  • 18. 18 Sir George Sydenham Clarke, with the last layout of George Wittet March 1913 sanctioned on 31. The gateway was assembled from concrete and basalt. The foundations were completed in 1920, and building was concluded in 1924. The central dome is (25 meters) above the earth at feet 48 feet (15 meters) in diameter and 83 its highest point. The entire harbour front was realigned in order to come in-line with a planned esplanade which would sweep down to the center of the town. On each side of the arch, there are large halls that can hold 600 individuals. The price of the building was 21 lakh (US$38,000), borne chiefly from the Government of India. For lack of funds, the approach road was never constructed, and thus the gateway stands at an angle for the road before it The architect George Wittet joined the elements of the Roman triumphal arch and the 16th century architecture of Gujarat. Its layout is a blend of Hindu and Muslim architectural styles; the arch is of Muslim style as the ornaments are of Hindu style. The gateway is reinforced concrete and assembled from basalt. The stone was locally obtained, and the perforated screens were brought from Gwalior. The gateway faces out to Mumbai Harbour from the point of Apollo Bunder. It’s the location where the governors and viceroys used to land upon their arrival in India. Observed here is the bunch, which includes local and international tourists, local photographers with the monument in the backdrop. The statue was unveiled on 26 January 1961 on the function of India’s Republic Day. Another statue in the region is that of Swami Vivekananda. </font> </body> </html>

It was here, under a pipal, or bodhi tree, that Siddhartha Gotama attained enlightenment and became the Buddha. A simple shrine was built by the emperor Ashoka (3rd century BCE) to mark the spot, later enclosed by a stone railing (1st century BCE), part of which still remains. The uprights have representations of the Vedic gods Indra and Surya, and the railing medallions include carvings of imaginary beasts. This shrine was replaced in the Kushan period (2nd cent. CE) by the present Mahabodhi temple, which was refurbished in the Pala-Sena period (750- 1200), heavily restored by Sir Alexander Cunningham in the second half of the 19th century, and finally restored by Myanmar (Burmese) Buddhists in 1882. The bodhi tree behind the temple is believed to be a descendant of the original. [Adapted from Encyclopedia Britannica; July 06] </font></body></html>
