Simona Halep is a Romanian professional tennis player currently ranked 6th in the world by the WTA. She won the junior Roland Garros in 2008 and reached her first Roland Garros final in 2014, losing to Maria Sharapova. the position 6 of the WTA.1 ranking. It won the Roland Garros junior of 2008. In the year 2014 reached its first final of Roland
Garros losing it against the Russian Maria Sharápova with a result of 4-6 7-6 (5) 4- 6.
Halep's father, Stere, runs a cheese and milk factory. Simona started playing tennis at age four, emulating her older brother.
