This is a very important topic and one of the major pillars on which our Imaan is strengthened on a daily basis. It is beautiful how the Glorious Qur'an will become our intercessor for or against us on the Day of Judgement. I hope it will be helpful for all of you. Ramadan taught us important lessons and left precious gifts. We need to benefit from these after Ramadan. Even though Ramadan has left us, we must maintain the spirit of Ramadan in our every day life till we see Ramadan visit us again.
"In the name of Allah, the soft hearted, the Merciful"
وَالعَصرِ
(I Swear) By the time
إِنَّ الإِنسٰنَ لَفى خُسرٍ
Truly humankind is in loss (khusr)
إِلَّا الَّذينَ ءامَنوا وَعَمِلُوا الصّٰلِحٰتِ وَتَواصَوا بِالحَقِّ وَتَواصَوا بِالصَّبرِ
Except for those who have faith and do righteous actions ( ̀̀amal-al-salihat)And urge, enjoin, (tawasaw) each other to the truth (haqq) and Urge, enjoin (tawasaw) each other to steadfastness, boldness (sabr).

3. ISLAM POV ON IMAN
• Iman stems from Knowledge and reason. Not blind faith.
• Examples are the new muslims accepting Islam everyday. If you
are not aware Islam is the fastest growing religion. Don’t be
surprised when you see that in the next 50 years almost everyone
is muslim in the world. This is because Islam makes sense and
appeals to reason. n
• One of the major reasons is the Qur’an. You hear them saying I
read the qur’an it made so much sense to me. Now I’m muslim
Alhamdulillah. There are also miracles of the Qur’an
4. MIRACLES OF THE QUR’AN
• 1. The linguistic miracles. Only people who understand arabic
grammar can attest to it. But there are few ones for non arabic
speaker. Like the message in it. How it is easy to understand. How
Allah talks in the Qur’an. Take Surah Rahman for example. See the
eloquence and repition.
• Historical
• Science; Heavy Cloud, Life from Water, Sun, moon and Star. Iron
origin.
• The Challenge.
5. • You can see where the Iman stems from. From knowledge and
reason. Not blind faith, not because the book says so. And they
have something to fall back to. Compared to other religions, only
Islam stands on the Truth. The only acceptable religion to Allah is
Islam.
• Now the one who has accepted the truth is a mu’min
6. WHO IS A MU’MIN
• SURAH ANFAL 2 – 4 answers. This
” The believers are only those who, when Allah is mentioned, their
hearts tremble, and when His verses are recited to them, it
increases them in faith; and upon their Lord they rely”
1. Their hearts tremble.
2. Increase in the faith when listeining to Qur’an. They Already
have faith.
3. They rely upon Allah
7. • Verse 3; “The ones who establish prayer, and from what We have
provided for them, they spend.”
• 4. They pray solah
• 5. They give in charity. Who ever gives in the way of Allah, Allah
doubles it.
8. • Verse 4; “Those are the believers, truly. For them are degrees of
high position with their Lord and forgiveness and noble position.”
• 1. Increase in rank
• 2. Forgiveness of sins
• 3. Noble provision.
9. PILLARS OF IMAN
• 1. BELIEVE IN ALLAH as one. That is Tawheed.
Rububiyah > Allah’s oneness in creation, sustaining, giving life and
giving death.
Uluhiyah > Divinity i.e. All worship is to Allah, dua, fear, hope,
assistance, reliance.
Al-asma’ was-sifaat > Allah’s Attributes and names.

What’s worship?
10. • Swear by Allah alone, no Ogun or jesus, or Aje or Qur’an (is
creation makhluq)
• Anything you do that is for other than Allah is rejected. That is
why you believe in Allah must be the right one.
• Whosoever disbelieve in Allah his destination is the fire.
12. RUSUL
• Among the messengers are angels also. The Jew don’t like Jibril.
That is disbelief. Jinns don’t have jinn messengers. Muhammad
(SAW) was sent to the world including jinns. Every Nations was
sent a messenger.
• “By him in whose hand is my soul, No one hears about me from
this ummah, whether jew sor christians then die without believing
in what I was sent with except they will be inhabitants of the fire”

20. HOW TO ATTAIN IMAN AND INCREASE IT VS
WHAT REDUCES IT.
• Qur, an. Read qur’an and understand it. If you don’t understand it
ask the ones who knows. And stay away from doubts and
assumptions. Read stories of the prophets, and sahaba and stories
of great people and the ones from the qur’an.
• Sit in a gathering of knwoledge, learning and getting closer to
Allah
• Stop sinning. Sins make the heart hard. Don’t justify your sins.
• Have righteous friends. Day of judgement example.
• Give charity and respect children and elders especially parents.
