Asalamu'Alaikum dear readers,
This is a very important topic and one of the major pillars on which our Imaan is strengthened on a daily basis. It is beautiful how the Glorious Qur'an will become our intercessor for or against us on the Day of Judgement. I hope it will be helpful for all of you. Would love to read your view about it in the comments section!!
2. Why connect?
• The Quran, like your Salah is a fundamental principle of
your life and a vital part of your connection to Allah. The
pure words of Allah is the only truth that you will
recognize in this world of deception. It is the only
guidance for you to lead you to the straight path. Hold
onto it and it will lead you to the path of light. It will bring
you out of darkness into the eternal blessed light.
• Al-Qur’an which was revealed more than 1400 years
ago is the only guide for us in this world that will rescue
you in this life and the life to come. There’s a two-way
connection that goes around between you and your
Creator. You communicate to Allah in spiritual
connection of supplication and Salah whilst Allah
communicates to you through His Glorious Words.
3. • Al-Qur’an is directly from ALLAH to you and there
is no barrier in between. You don’t have to
approach any mediator in reaching out to Him. You
just need to make effort and knock on His door. His
line is always available!
• There can never be found a single contradiction or
discrepancy in the book because these are the
direct words of Allah and He has promised to
preserve it.
4. Allah (SWT) says in the Qur’an the following verses-
~“Do they not then consider the Quran carefully? Had it been
from other than Allah, they would surely have found therein
much contradiction”
[an-Nisa’ 4:82].
~“It is not an invented story, rather a confirmation of what
has been before it, and an elaboration of everything, and
guidance and mercy for a people who believe”
Al-Qur’an; Surah Yusuf, V-111
5. Practice what you
preach!!!
• It is not only about recitation and memorization of the Al-Qur’an
rather it is about deeply understanding (Tadabbur) it and giving it a
thought. Allah (SWT) says in The Glorious Qur’an-
• “Then, do they not give serious thought to the Qur’an, or do they
have locks on their hearts?” (Surah Muhammad, V-24)
• One of the main motives of Shaytan is to keep us away from the
Speech of Allah and giving it thought as Ibn Hubayrah said: “From the
devil’s trick is to turn people away from Tadabbur (pondering on)
Qur’an for he knows guidance comes from Tadabbur.”
• TIP : Practise from the people of the past - Whatever you read or
listen, apply it in your daily life. The pious predecessors were
conscious and wanted to reflect even if they read 10 verses. If you do
not make use of it then that knowledge will be waste of time and
effort.
6. Whenever you feel at your lowest, open the blessed Al-Quran, a free gift from
Allah to you. It is very important to stay away from excessive usage of the
social networking websites and to spend time alone, reading, reflecting & most
importantly pondering upon what your Maker wants You to know.
7. Did you know??
1. Reading and reflecting over the Qur’an fulfils an Islamic
duty.
2. The Qur’an will be a proof for us on the Day of Judgement
3. The Qur’an will intercede for or against you on the day of
judgement
4. Your status in this life and the life to come will be raised
5. You will be from the best of people
6. There are 10 rewards from each letter you recite from the
Qur’an
7. You will have barakah in your time
8. How to approach the Qur’an??
• Imaan is not something that is static as it keeps
on fluctuating; however to maintain it by means
of Quran is the best way to start with.
• Change your approach and make the intention to
grow closer to Allah through the Qur’an
• Don’t let a day pass without contemplating on
the words of your Creator.
• Put yourself in every verse; Focus on its
meaning – REFLECT!
• Don’t make the Qur’an something you do when
you have spare time.
9. Let’s hold it tight and use
it for its main purpose so
that we may succeed in
both the worlds
