Mr. Igor Maltaric worked with me and my colleagues as a local assistant during our observation of
the March 2014 parliamentary elections in Serbia. Speaking on behalf of the entire staff of the
OSCE Parliamentary Assembly’s International Secretariat, I can say that Mr. Maltaric is
undoubtedly one of the best local professionals that we have ever worked with in our monitoring of
elections around the world.
Mr. Maltaric is highly efficient and well-organized, extremely knowledgable about national and
international politics, gifted in language skills, and clearly experienced in working with both elected
officials and the media. Mr. Maltaric completed every task given to him – from English translation
and interpretation, to logistical tasks, to organizing large groups of people, to assisting in the set-up
of our press conference, to conducting monitoring of the media, to liasing with officials – with high-
quality results and consummate professionalism. Not only was he an enormous asset to our work, I
would say that we simply couldn’t have done our work without him.
Another quality that Mr. Maltaric possesses that truly makes him stand out from the crowd is his
attitude. He always had a smile on his face and a positive demeanor, was always ready to help and
take on any task given to him, and had a calming effect on me and my colleagues under very
stressful working conditions. Mr. Maltaric is the type of person any office or organization would
benefit from – and if I had an open position in my own office, I would hire him myself. I
recommend him highly for just about any job he applies for, and particularly for any positions that
deal with international organizations, politics, the media, communications or language.
