Mr Vikram BASISTHA worked at the International Telecommunication Union (ITU) as part of the WSIS Team from
9 June to 9 December 2014.
During his work with the WSIS Team, Mr Basistha provided substantive research on the Information Society,
drafted some documents and reports and liaised with diplomatic missions, private sectors and non-governmental
organizations. He also contributed to the social network coverage of the WSIS, developed marketing strategies
for his assigned projects.
Mr Basistha has demonstrated a high level of professionalism in carrying out all the assignments entrusted to him.
He has a strong talent for critical analysis, problem solving, and is diligent and effective. In addition to his clear
professional aptitudes, Mr Basistha possesses several qualities that made him an asset to the ITU. He
demonstrated a strong commitment to work and readily accepted instructions, but was also capable of working
independently and of taking initiatives. He was well liked and respected by his colleagues, as a team player and
leader.
