If the Earth's orbit was circular instead of elliptical, the seasons would change dramatically. Summer would become winter in the Northern Hemisphere and vice versa in the Southern Hemisphere, while the equator would always experience spring. Winters would be much colder and summers much hotter. Additionally, the entire Earth would start experiencing the same season simultaneously.
