IF I COULD BE SOMEONE
ELSE FOR A DAY...
Tyson Mayr
If I could be someone else for a
day I would choose to be Tyson
Mayr, a 27 year old Australian who
works as ´Chief World Explorer´ for
the travel company Jauntaroo.
If I did Tyson´s job, I would earn a
six figure salary for travelling the
world and working with various
charities while documenting my
experiences in an online video
diary.
I could spend the day hopping
from country to country, ticking
them off my bucket list as I went!
Chief World Explorer
He has taught English to
disadvantaged children in
Columbia and hopes to help to
build schools in Guatemala next
year.
Before taking up his post as
´Chief World Explorer, he
installed water filters in remote
communities in Uganda and
volunteered as an ambassador
for the non-profit clean water
organisation RainCatcher.
Tyson will visit up to fifty destinations over the course of 2014,
including Berlin, Jamaica, Puerto Rico, the Maldives and the
Bahamas and share his travel and volunteering experiences with
his Facebook, Twitter and Instagram followers.
Why would I like to be Tyson for a day?
The mystery of not knowing where I
was going to wake up the next day
would be so exciting!
Like me, Tyson has a genuine love of
travel. If I could be a globetrotter for
a day it would give me the
opportunity to connect with new
people from all walks of life and to
help out in their communities. I
would get the chance to try exotic
foods and to take part in local
traditions. Doing something I love
while giving back in the process,
even for just one day, would be a
dream come true!
Making Memories
Being able to capture content that would make people smile
would also give me a great sense of satisfaction. The blog and
video diary would be a fantastic memento of my adventures that
day that I would be able to re-visit for years to come.
