The team proposes several solutions to optimize production lines at Telamon Industrial Solutions, which could increase efficiency by 10-15%. Through observations, interviews and analysis, they found opportunities like reducing unnecessary tasks and improving ergonomics. Their proposed solutions include an optimized tray, rotating pallet carousel, production coordination software, and post-assembly machine vision quality control. These solutions could save an estimated total of $63,982 annually from reduced costs and improved productivity. However, some concerns were raised about safety, additional investment needs, and technology adjustments required for implementation.
How AFourTech Helped A Leading Mobile Device Management Player With Regressio...AFour Technologies
Client was struggling with regression testing activities. Significant time was being spent by the client team in certifying release candidate builds/beta builds. It was taking lot of time to execute test cases manually and client had to maintain sizable team of manual regression testers. Client tried different automation tools and the effort was not successful.
This is a sample from a Business Plan I wrote in 2011. It is specific to the wind industry, but I believe provides a basis for the agenda, goals and how they will be achieved as well as issues and how they can be mitigated.
In many business plans, it is important to provide some idea of the ROI (return on investment) after all, why would someone want to invest in any business without having an idea of the potential for current and future growth?

Applying Agile Principles to Test Automation DevelopmentTechWell
Why do test automation implementations often result in budget and schedule overruns and often diverge from the test objectives they were meant to support? Because test automation is a form of software development—but rarely is treated as such. Lee Barnes discusses how the application of software development practices, specifically agile principles, to test automation efforts helps ensure a reliable and maintainable solution that is closely aligned with both testing AND business objectives. Benefits of incorporating agile practices in test automation development include: increased customer involvement and visibility, scope flexibility, and budget and schedule control. Lee presents techniques for mapping agile processes, artifacts, and tools to test automation development projects. Discussion will cover topics of agile components including user stories, task board, backlog, and definition of done in a test automation context. In addition, Lee will examine the evolution of test automation artifacts over the course of several sprints. Take back techniques and examples for applying agile development principles to test automation efforts.

Performance Testing in the Agile LifecycleLee Barnes
Traditional large scale end-of-cycle performance tests served enterprises well in the waterfall era. However, as organizations transition to agile development models, many find their tried and true approach to performance testing—and their performance testing resources—becoming somewhat irrelevant. The strict requirements and lengthy durations just don’t fit in the context of an agile cycle. Additionally, investigating system performance at the end of the development effort misses out on the early stage feedback offered by an agile approach. And it’s more important than ever that today’s agile-built systems perform. So how can agile organizations ensure optimum performance of their business critical systems? Lee Barnes discusses why agile teams need to change their thinking about performance from a narrow focus on testing to a broader focus on analysis—from a people, process and technology perspective. Take back techniques for shifting your performance testing/analysis earlier in the development cycle and extracting performance data that is immediately actionable.

Zero touch QA automation platform for DevOpsTaUB Solutions
Presentation based on the Award Winning Paper by Varadarajan Srinivasan on Zero Touch QA Automation Platform at STC Nov 2018.
Companies that are in DevOps Journey go through a rough weather in QA Automation initiatives. With the industry transformation to Digital Trend, there is always a need for an efficient streamlined Continuous Delivery.
This Webinar would talk about Zero Touch QA Automation Platform. It deals with the Solution on Integrated DevOps & Quality Approach. This would consist of Artificial Intelligence in Reporting and Data Visualization. The Complete QA Cycle is automated from Test Design to Test Closure with Continuous Monitoring, involving no manual intervention. The Webinar would also give insights on Business benefits/outcome on adopting this approach with streamlined Governance.
The world of a software house is a constant search for compromise between quality and costs. In many cases, the cost-cutting starts from the test automation. Then you start to talk about ROI but recognize that numbers are not on your side. We were there and what we have found out is that only a complete change in our approach allows us to find common ground with our clients. I will reveal one detail from the presentation - we are not talking about test automation with clients anymore - as a result we do it more and more.
Are you surprised that success automatically generates new challenges which we further translate into opportunities? We had to reconsider our approach to the test automation environment, internal frameworks and the way we share them between projects, including code ownership, … And again, one simple but unobvious solution allows us to both deliver what we promise and to earn more on our projects.
As we have been reshaping our approach to the test automation, we had to change the way of delivery too. One of the main decisions was skip out the role of test automation engineer (or software developer in test). We decided to go with the whole team approach which is consistent with the way we sell it.
Find it interesting? Join me and listen to our story about how we have transformed test automation.

Thank you Mani! To tackle our case our approach was divided into ergonomic improvements and industrial 4.0 improvemnst
As we observed the lines and production workstations during our visits at Telamon, we noticed an opportunity to improve the gasket holders in the air intake workstations. Secondly a rotating carousel would increase production and packaging efficiency as well!
Lastly we also conducted a CATIA reach analysis to understand if everything in the workstation is within industrial reach boundaries
We also considered Industrial 4.0 developments for our client and looked at a production coordination system as well as a post assembly machine vision QC
After vetting multiple companies such as Cognex omron and samasara, we narrowed down on the VS2 samsara model as it seemed to satisfy the overall QC needs of our client!
We also contacted the company to get a quote on the solution and built a relationship with them which Telamon could pick up if they do consider implementing the solution!
